Disney > The Olympics?

Currently, the eyes of the sports world are trained on Paris as the games of the 30th modern Summer Olympic Games are taking place in the City of Lights. However, according to one well-known Olympic athlete, her family is much more excited about a different part of their trip to France.
However, according to Johnson in an interview with E!, her children — 4-year-old Drew, 2-year-old Jett, and 7-month-old Bear — are more excited about their trip to Disney’s Parisian resort than they are about the games. “I don’t think they’re going to appreciate or understand any of it, which we understand. We’re going to Disneyland Paris. I think they’re most excited for that.”

While Johnson added that “it’s comical that we’re going all the way to Paris to go to Disney” she did add that there are parts of the games that she thinks might draw her children’s interest. “Drew does enjoy watching gymnastics strictly for the leotards, so she’ll enjoy watching the leotards for maybe 20 minutes. And then we’ll be good with it.” She said of middle child Jett, “Olympic skateboarding would be really fun for him to watch. More of the niche sports. I don’t think my family will last at swimming or basketball or anything that we genuinely want to go watch.”

Whether going to Disneyland Paris or attending the games, Johnson East and her husband, former professional football player, Andrew East are excited for the travel they’ve planned around the games.

“We have traveled with our kids a lot, we’re used to it. We did a Greek islands extravaganza last year. We’ve done Mexico, we go to Tijuana a lot for mission work with my family. We’re so excited. We’re going to tour around Europe for almost five weeks. We’re going to do it all. We’re doing trains, planes, automobiles and boats.”
That said, the star, who missed the 2020 games (staged in 2021) due to her pregnancy, did admit there’s one part of the trip she’s nervous about: “The only thing that I’m nervous about with Paris is it’s just a lot of people at the Olympics. There’s a lot of mass crowds, there’s a lot of chances to not see a little kid, which freaks me out. So I’m a little nervous for that.”

Former Olympic Champion Shawn Johnson East is in Paris for the Olympic Games, but her kids seem to be more excited about a trip to the Disneyland Paris Resort. Stay tuned to AllEars for further updates on celebrities visiting Disney Parks!
