How is it possibly June already?!

This month is going to be an exciting one in Disney World! CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCore Plaza, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will all be opening this month. EPCOT’s transformation will officially be complete. Yay! However, during the first week of the month part of the American Adventure pavilion will be temporarily closed — luckily, not for long though!
American Heritage Gallery
The American Heritage Gallery in EPCOT at the American Adventure pavilion closed for refurbishment on May 28th.

A new exhibit will be taking the place of the current one. The George W. Bush Institute is loaning 60 portraits of service members and veterans painted by former President George W. Bush to the American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT. The exhibit returns to normal operating hours on June 7th with an official grand opening on June 9th.
We’re excited to check out this new exhibit! While this closure isn’t for very long, there are other rides and attractions that will remain closed this week, June 2nd through June 9th.
Magic Kingdom
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, 2023, and the new ride taking its place will remain closed until June 28th!

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme, and it will be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! We recently noticed some major changes including all the walls finally being down. Disney has also shared a look at new characters coming to the ride!

We can’t wait until it opens on June 28th! Plus, Annual Passholders, DVC members, Cast Members, and D23 Gold Members will have the opportunity to preview it early. We don’t know about you, but we’re getting EXCITED!

Country Bear Jamboree
Country Bear Jamboree is still being reimagined in Magic Kingdom! The show closed on January 27th and should reopen with the new, updated show sometime this summer.

A recent permit filed sure makes it seem like some work is certainly going on over here. Plus, Disney recently shared a sneak peek at some new costumes and the new music coming to the show!

If you want to celebrate this attraction, check out this Collectible Plush Set on Amazon!

The set features three Country Bears: Teddi Barra, Big Al, and Henry.
Tomorrowland Terrace
Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom has only ever been open occasionally, usually during particularly busy seasons. However, it’s been a LONG time since we’ve seen this spot open.

Currently, it’s only used for Magic Kingdom dessert parties.

EPCOT
Restaurant Marrakesh
Restaurant Marrakesh is kind of closed and kind of not. The restaurant will soon be used as an Annual Passholder lounge during the V.I.Passholder Days!

Passholders can visit the lounge from May 1st through June 18th, 2024 at Restaurant Marrakesh. However, we’re still waiting for the full dining experience to return!
Your EPCOT Experience Will Completely Change in About Two Weeks
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed on January 8th and will remain closed for a pretty long time. The ride is finally opening on July 28th, so we only have a little while longer to wait!

If you’ve missed this ride as much as we have be sure to be in Hollywood Studios on or after July 27th!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid as we know it will NOT return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s closed now, and Disney has confirmed that this show has permanently closed to make way for an updated version.

“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”, an all-new stage show, will replace the show in the Animation Courtyard theater in Fall 2024.

Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon was closed for several months but finally opened on March 17th, 2024! Woo hoo!

However, on that same day (March 17th) Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishments. Since it just closed, we do not know when it will reopen again, but since 2020 we’ve noticed that the two water parks will flip-flop being open.

That means that even though we’re getting closer to summer, we may only have one option of water parks to go to. We’ll be watching for news of Blizzard Beach reopening, but this summer head over to Typhoon Lagoon!
