Disney CONFIRMS Opening Date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom

We have official Tiana’s Bayou Adventure news!

Earlier today, on May 12th, Disney accidentally revealed the opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. The announcement was taken down shortly after it was posted, but now an OFFICIAL announcement for the opening date has just been given (and it was on purpose this time)!

During the Disney Night episode of American Idol, Disney officially announced the opening date of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom! We will all finally get to ride it starting on June 28th, 2024! While we already knew the date, Disney has now confirmed it in this announcement.

Disney also mentioned that Cast Member, Annual Passholder, and Disney Vacation Club members may be getting previews of the ride. We’ll be waiting to hear more information on these previews, which Disney says is coming soon!

The story of this ride picks up after the film that inspired it. Tiana has opened her restaurant and expanded her business with an employee-owned cooperative called Tiana’s Foods.

To celebrate the community that supported her and her restaurant dreams, Tiana is throwing a Mardi Gras party but there’s a problem. It seems an ingredient is MISSING. That’s where you come in because Tiana will need your help to find the missing ingredient!

In the queue, you’ll hear the sounds of New Orleans and even smell beignets — YUMMMM.

On the ride itself, you’ll see several animatronics. Tiana will appear in a brand-new outfit.

Other faces you’ll see on the ride include Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, Louis, Eudora, Charlotte, “Big Daddy,” the King and Queen of Maldonia, and Prince Ralphie!

Here are some other key things to know about the ride:

• There will be some nods to Splash Mountain still on the ride
• Several of the voice actors from the movie will be reprising their roles
• You’ll hear zydeco music in the attraction (this music is a special blend of rhythm and blues that was born in Louisiana)
• PJ Morton — a Grammy Award-Winning musician and someone you might recognize as the keyboardist for Maroon 5 — will be creating a NEW original song for the ride

And that’s just the beginning!
