Tiana is on her way to Disneyland and Disney World with an all-new attraction!
While several movie-themed attractions have opened in the last few years like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the Princess and the Frog ride is set to open in 2024. Now, we’ve got a new update on the ride!
Disney just created pages for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland and Disney World. On these pages is the height requirement for the attraction!
According to the Disney website, the height requirement is 40 inches for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This goes for both Disneyland and Disney World and it is the same height requirement as Splash Mountain before it closed.
Construction has been ongoing and we’ve been keeping an eye on it for a year now. Recently, we saw new decorations go up near the top of the big drop!
The story of the attraction, as Disney shares, picks up during New Orleans’ Carnival season, and Tiana is hosting a Mardi Gras Party for the people of New Orleans — the community that has supported her successful restaurant. There’s just one problem — the party is missing a key ingredient and we have to help her find it!
We’re looking forward to celebrating with Tiana in this brand new attraction. There is no official opening date just yet, so stay tuned. Keep following AllEars and read below why Tiana’s Bayou Adventure could open earlier than we thought 👀.

Still going to have that same drop at the end? And what became of the Great Movie Ride as that was my level 10+ years ago.
Hi Deva. It looks like the drop will be the same as far as mechanics goes. The Great Movie Ride was replaced with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in 2020.
Of course it’s the same height requirement as Splash, it’s the same track and ride just with different characters and storyline. I’d be more surprised if it was a different height requirement.
