The hype surrounding Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe is at an all-time high!
Last week, Universal announced that Epic Universe will FINALLY open on May 22nd, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by another announcement that tickets would go on sale as of October 22nd, 2024. While Universal begins the initial phase of welcoming guests to Epic Universe, ticket details are a bit more restrictive than normal park tickets, so we’re here to explain how they’ll work and what you should expect.
Right now, you can purchase tickets to Epic Universe for next year on the Universal Orlando Resort’s official website. Purchases are limited to two options as of this posting, and we’ll explain what those options entail.
In the initial stages, Universal will only offer Multi-Day tickets and vacation packages as a means to enter Epic Universe.
Let’s start with the Multi-Day option. This ticket option is for multi-day tickets for three days or longer. These tickets will include multiple days at Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Volcano Bay. Unfortunately, at this time, this ticket package restricts access to Epic Universe to a one-day admission.
This limitation is only temporary, however, as Universal announced that single-day single-day and two-day Epic Universe tickets will be sold at a later date before the park officially opens.
Universal also noted that when purchasing the current multi-day tickets that include one-day admission to Universal Epic Universe, guests won’t need to specify the date they plan to visit Epic Universe. Instead, they’ll be guaranteed access by having the ticket package and just need to list the first date they’d like any of the Universal Orlando tickets to be valid.
In a Q&A, Universal clarified that Florida resident discounts, Universal Express Pass, VIP Tours, and Universal Photo products are not offered in this initial phase.
The Resort did add that these services ARE COMING TO EPIC UNIVERSE, but like the increase in ticket options, information about them will be known at a later date. Services such as complimentary transportation to and from Epic Universe to other Universal Orlando properties and Early Park Admission have already been confirmed.
Since tickets debuted for purchasing today, we now have a better understanding of that range and how much you can expect to pay to be one of the first to visit Universal’s Epic Universe.
Let’s start with the 3-day ticket option which allows visits to either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure in addition to Epic Universe for a day. Adult tickets start at $117.33 and children ages 3-9 start at $114. If you’re looking for more flexibility and want to add in a park-to-park option that allows you to freely roam between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure as well as ride the Hogwarts Express train between each of the parks, these tickets start at $137.34 for adults and $134 for children ages 3-9. But if you’re craving even more than just the park-to-park availabilities you can also add in the ability to visit Volcano Bay with the 3-day ticket package with prices starting at $150.67 for adults and $147.34 for children ages 3-9.
Let’s break this down a bit by taking a closer look at when you might be planning your visit to Epic Universe. For the 3-day park ticket option with the ability to only visit 1 park per day here’s what we saw. While prices for the initial opening dates in May start strong with price with $164 being the highest…
…we did see them taper a bit into early June but consistent throughout the month holding around $150 to $156.
Pricing through July into August holds pretty steady between $154 to $162 with those prices starting to recede as schools tend to start back in session…
…and then we see an all-time low starting in September! The cheapest date that Universal has listed on the calendar so far seems to be September 8th, 2025 starting at $118!
October picks back up to around summer pricing around the $140-160 range…
…while dates in November will range from $137 up to $165 depending on when you choose to visit.
Pricing for December starts off fairly low at $136 as opposed to the anticipated high crowds after Christmas and into New Years topping out at $174 (the highest pricing thus far for the year).
If you were wondering how the pricing breaks down for the 3 day park ticket option with park to park added — here’s what you need to know! This pricing will be a bit higher naturally than what we just laid out since they have the additional feature so their debut pricing in May will start in the low $180s.
In June we see them fluctuate a bit between low to mid $170s…
…while you should expect July to range between the mid $170s to lower $180s.
Early August will start pricing similar to what we saw in July but will start to decline towards the end of the month ranging closer to $176 to $160.
September again will be the cheapest month we see for this option dropping to an astounding $138 on September 8th, 2025!
Pricing will pick back up in October to mimic that of summer holding steady between mid $160s to higher $170s…
…and will steadily rise and fall in November where you’ll want to plan your visit carefully since the pricing can range so drastically this month.
And it’s to no one’s surprise that while we’ll see very early December as the cheapest dates this month starting at $156, the end will finish up with pricing topping out at $194!
Take a closer look at the 3-day 4-park pricing which includes everything the 3-day park-to-park ticket offers along with admission to Volcano Bay — pricing gets a bit steeper with the addition of another park! May will kick things off with a bang starting at the mid to high $190s!
June is going to steadily climb pricing into the summer months ranging between $190 and $196.
July will be the hottest summer month for pricing topping out at $202…
…which will hold pretty steadily through August until the later part of the month where mid $190s pricing will drop down closer to the low $180s range.
September again being our constant at the lowest prices we’ll see for tickets all year long dipping to just $151 at its lowest…
…but October will start to see a stark contrast in pricing hovering around $178 to $196 as we start to see folks visit for fall breaks!
November is going to be that hit-or-miss month where pricing ranges the most between $170 and $196 so plan your visit carefully to take advantage of the cheapest possible pricing this month…
…and as demand increases for extended school breaks and the holiday season we’ll see prices top out at $206 for this option!
If you’re considering a bit of a longer vacation and visiting a few extra days, Universal has options for 4 and 5-day tickets! 4-day tickets with park-to-park access between Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay with one day to visit Epic Universe will start at $121.50 for adults and $119 for children ages 3-9. Prices for 4-day tickets with the park-to-park option without access to Volcano Bay (this means you have 3 days to visit Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure with 1 day at Epic Universe) will begin at $109 for adults and $106.50 for children ages 3-9. Tickets for 4 days and access to 4 parks (you only can visit one park per day with admission for 1 of those days to Epic Universe) start at $105.25 for adults and $102.75 for children ages 3-9.
If you’re looking for 4 days in 3 parks with admission to just one park per day (still limited to one day at Epic Universe) pricing starts at $92.75 for adults and $90.25 for children ages 3-9.
Extending those tickets by an extra day to round out a longer stay doesn’t look like a bad deal either! 5-day tickets for park-to-park access between Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay where you’ll have 4 days to visit these parks and 1 day to visit Epic Universe will begin at $104.40 for adults and $102.40 for children ages 3-9. Taking away the ability to visit Volcano Bay with this ticket starts at $92.40 for adults and $90.40 for children ages 3-9. Finally, 5-day tickets with the ability to visit one park per day between all 4 parks with a limit of 1 day at Epic Universe will start at $90.40 for adults and $88.40 for children ages 3-9.
Similarly, 5-day tickets to visit one park per day between Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe with the same limitations for 1 day’s admission will begin at $78.40 for adults and $76.40 for children ages 3-9.
Wow, if there’s anything to be said from the released pricing it’s that Universal certainly seems to have a wide range of prices for these tickets and we’re eager to see how attendance and demand to visit this park plays out.
The other option is to buy tickets through a Universal vacation package, which also includes a hotel stay. Universal’s Create Your Own Vacation Package with Universal Epic Universe is just the one you’re looking for! This package will come with 7-night hotel accommodations at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel, 3 park 4-day park-to-park tickets PLUS 1-day admission to Epic Universe with additional visits split between Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay for the remaining ticketed days, early park admission to a specific park before the day’s visitors are allowed in, and an extra discount for bundling!
This package is bookable now through December 10th, 2025 for vacations to be used between May 22nd through December 31st, 2025! For example, we priced out a week’s stay with this package promotion for a stay between May 22nd through May 29th, 2025 and our sample pricing was based on two adults and two children with the included ticket promotion.
Taking a further look at the package, Universal also lists other hotel options to work into your vacation and budget and they also list how this affects your sample pricing as you go through their booking process.
Of course, your dates will vary on pricing — however, this was a starting point for what you can expect of that pricing based on some of the first dates this promotion allows for.
These tickets seem to be a great value for multiple parks when comparing them to Disney World which would start at $518.64 for 1 adult for 3 days of admission at 1 park per day…
…and of course, go up in price from there.
