Sometimes we all need a break… even at EPCOT.

Thanks to housing some of the resort’s most popular rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, most intricately themed areas like World Showcase, and most popular seasonal events like the Food & Wine Festival, EPCOT is often immensely crowded. For those of us who are somewhat introverted by nature, this can be a bit overwhelming, but fear not, there are certain areas in EPCOT that are perfect to decompress.
A Solo Ride on Spaceship Earth
One of the first sights you’ll see when you enter EPCOT is also one of the best places for an introvert to decompress. Spaceship Earth is not only a classic dark ride, but it’s also a long, slow-moving experience in somewhat isolated ride vehicles in a large, mostly dark, air-conditioned space. It’s a perfect spot to relax if things become a little “too much” in the park.

A Solo Ride on Living With the Land
While Living With the Land doesn’t offer quite the same chance at relative solitude as Spaceship Earth (it’s nowhere near as dark and the large boats are pretty much impossible to get completely to oneself), there’s something soothing about a trip through Living with the Land’s greenhouses.

The Venice Outcropping
Located in front of the Italy Pavilion in World Showcase, this small outcropping provides fantastic views of the World Showcase and across the lagoon, but on the same token is off the beaten path of the main thoroughfare, allowing for some space from crowds. Just be wary to count on its availability, as it’s often used for weddings and other private events.

The United Kingdom Gardens
Located toward the back of the U.K. Pavilion, these lush gardens make a great refuge from the crowds, including some shady seating areas to get out of the sun while remaining in the fresh air.

Near Canada’s Waterfalls
Located next to the U.K. pavilion, the Canada Pavilion features a breathtaking man-made waterfall system with walking paths. Of course, if you don’t feel like chasing Canadian waterfalls you can stick to the Rio del Tiempo you’re used to.

Morocco
The Morocco Pavilion is one of World Showcase’s most beautifully designed. Sadly, it’s often one of the least crowded due to a lack of attraction or well-known restaurant. However, this does make it a relatively crowd-free/stress-free place to decompress from crowds and appreciate the architecture.

These are just some of my go to places to decompress as an introvert at EPCOT. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Walt Disney World tips.

The exhibition space (currently Kawaii) in the Japan pavilion is often very quiet and a great place to just sit and breathe.
