Here at AllEars, we talk about routine maintenance at the Disney parks and resorts quite often!

You know, the scheduled refurbishments that keep Disney’s attractions and amenities in tip-top shape and working as they should? We’ve seen construction, maintenance, and refurbishments take place at Disney World a LOT lately, but the maintenance we encountered today is some that we DIDN’T expect.
When we got to the parks this morning, the Disney World app was having some technical difficulties, to say the least! When we tried to access the My Disney Experience app, we received this pop-up stating that some of the digital experiences would be undergoing maintenance and would be unavailable.

This prompt continued to pop up as we tried to navigate the app. So, what does this mean for park guests?

Well, those hoping to quickly book Lightning Lanes and use Genie+ may experience some technical difficulties! Plus, it could be difficult to make in-app merchandise or food purchases. For us, it still allowed us to access everything we needed, but it was frustrating to receive the pop-up every few minutes.

We’ve encountered issues like this before, but the good news is that the issues typically resolve themselves within the day, so hopefully you shouldn’t have to make a visit to Guest Relations.

We post Disney news and updates every day to make sure you’re well-prepared when you venture out into the parks!
