Disney After Hours Events Returning to Disney World

While we’ve seen a lot return to “normal” in Disney World in the two years since the parks originally reopened, there have still been certain elements we’ve been waiting on!

One of the things we have been waiting for is the return of the popular Disney After Hours events.

While we have seen after-hours events return in the form of parties (such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party), the non-holiday Disney After Hours have been missing for quite some time. These separately ticketed events include much of the same perks you’ll see at the Halloween or Christmas party, with free treats, and access to attractions after the parks have closed to all guests.

Now, Disney has shared that Disney After Hours events will return to Disney World starting in January 2023. The first After Hours event will take place on January 4th in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, followed by one on January 9th in Magic Kingdom. Both parks will be hosting After Hours events on specific nights through April 19th, 2023.

At Magic Kingdom, the event will give a limited number of guests access to over 20 rides such as Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Jungle Cruise. While a full list of rides hasn’t been released for either of the parks, Disney shared specifically that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run would be open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As for cost, the Disney After Hours events will let guests into the park starting at 7PM, with prices ranging from $129 to $159 per person (not including tax). Tickets for the January 4 and January 9th, 2023 events will be available starting on October 7th, 2022 to the general public, and on October 4th, 2022 for guests of select Disney World hotels (including Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green).

While they haven’t released pricing yet, Disney did tease that special prices will be available for Passholders and DVC members.
