UPDATE: On August 23rd, 2022, we saw that Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage was back up and running in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney World has a lot more to offer than just exciting rides, it also has a lot of popular and unique shows!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can check out shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond, and EPCOT has performances like Voices of Liberty. Sometimes, however, the shows are unavailable. This can happen for a multitude of reasons, whether they are undergoing refurbishment or experiencing technical difficulties, and today, one show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will not be offered for that reason.
When we were passing by Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios today, we noticed that the sign was not displaying any showtimes. When we talked to a Cast Member, they told us that the show was experiencing technical difficulties and would not be offered today.
If you experience unexpected ride or attraction closures while in Disney World, you can keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app to see when the offering becomes available again. If it’s been a while, and the ride still has not come back up, you can talk to a Cast Member to see if there’s an expected reopening time for the attraction.
If the attraction is not expected to reopen for the rest of the day, as is the case with Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, then you’ll have to alter your plans.
If you’re in Hollywood Studios and one of the shows is unavailable, there are a lot of other ones you can see! You can check out the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, or even MuppetVision 3D!
