It’s not uncommon for Disney World rides or offerings to occasionally close for maintenance or refurbishment, or other various reasons.
For example, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park has been closed for months now as it undergoes routine maintenance. Earlier this year, we saw Expedition Everest close for refurbishment and now, another Disney’s Animal Kingdom offering is closing for some maintenance.
Feathered Friends in Flight is a show at Animal Kingdom that gives guests the opportunity to hear from the park’s animal behaviorists and see the free-flying birds of Animal Kingdom up close and personal. Guests will learn how the birds are cared for, as well as how they are trained.
Disney recently announced that the show will be closing next month from September 11th to September 24th for routine refurbishment.
The show will reopen on Sunday, September 25th with five showtimes at 10:30AM, 11:30AM, 1:30PM, 2:30PM, and 3:30PM.
If you’ll be in Animal Kingdom while the show is closed, don’t worry, there are still tons of unique entertainment opportunities you can enjoy. Festival of the Lion King has returned to Animal Kingdom, in its full form (it was previously being offered as a more limited version of the show called A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King), though be aware that performance times are changing slightly for this show.
