These Are the Only Shoes I’m Packing for My Weekend Trip to Disney World — and Here’s Why

When it comes to going to Disney World, I know exactly what it will take to make the day a success.

Me and my pal Pluto!

I’ve walked thousands of miles in the park over the course of my lifetime, and I’ve worn dozens of different tennis shoes, sandals, and flats trying to figure out what would work best for me. Now, as I prepare to pack for a weekend trip, I’m only taking one pair of shoes.

I have spent more money on tennis shoes than I care to share. I have tried many, many, many brands, and they all have their place in my life! That was until I finally gave in and tried the HOKA Clifton 10s.

The Clifton 10s!

It’s no secret that the HOKA tennis shoes aren’t the most budget-friendly when it comes to sneakers, which is what made me hold off until now. Now, after finally buying a pair for myself, I can’t believe I’ve waited this long. These shoes feel like walking on a literal cloud.

These are so comfortable!

These shoes are focused on daily training and walking, which is exactly what you’ll need for the parks. We aren’t running marathons (or at least, I’m not) in Disney World, but you do need to be able to walk several miles, even if you aren’t doing a full park day. These shoes offer the most comfort and support I’ve ever had from any tennis shoe in or out of the parks.

They’re made with natural stability in the base, so you get the balance you need and nothing else that could throw you off even more. They also feature the plushest cushion that HOKA makes for their shoes, which is how you get that cloud-like feeling. They do have a chunkier look, so I was worried they would be heavy, but I was dead wrong! They are the lightest tennis shoes I’ve tried.

I love these!

Another thing that the Clifton 10s offer is a durable abrasion rubber outsole. At first glance, I didn’t think I would really put much stock into this. That was until I walked literal holes through my last three pairs of shoes. (I’m not joking,  there are multiple holes around all of my tennis shoes.) The addition of the rubber outsole is to help extend longevity, which I require when spending any amount of money on shoes.

The outside sole!

Not only has the quality really astounded me, but these have also helped improve my plantar fasciitis. If you don’t know, plantar fasciitis is an issue that causes pain along the heels and arches of your feet. I never had this issue until I was in the Disney parks almost every day, and now, the support I get from the Clifton 10s has made the issue go away almost entirely.

When it comes to packing light, I only bring one pair of shoes with me, and right now, it’s going to be the HOKA Clifton 10s every time. Am I the only one who finds it almost hard to swallow when a pricey product really is worth every penny? Maybe I am, but if you’re looking for a shoe that will actually get you through a Disney vacation, these are it!
