A Look at the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Crowds

It’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival time!

This festival gets us SO excited. There’s SO much food to try and we get to check out the returning Eat to the Beats concert seriesHowever, there can be one downside to EPCOT festivals — crowds.

There was already a line waiting for us when we arrived at EPCOT this morning!

Let’s go!

Once we were inside, the crowds dispersed a little, but there were still a LOT of people around.

We noticed quite a line for Spaceship Earth right away.

Once we reached the booths, though, we started seeing longer lines. This is what Shimmering Sips looked like this morning.

The Fry Basket is a new booth this year and the lines for it were VERY long. In fact, this food booth eventually ran out of fries.

Once guests had their food, though, there were areas where people could stretch out a little bit and have space to eat, even in air-conditioned spaces.

One of the longest lines we saw all day was for the China food booth!

Some booths didn’t have long lines at all. Ireland was pretty chill.

Overall, the crowds we saw  in EPCOT were pretty typical for the first day of a festival. We expected it to be busy, and it was!

So if you’re headed to EPCOT for the festival, be sure to watch out for those crowds! If you’re planning on riding as many rides as you can while fitting in the festival, we suggest looking into Disney Genie+ and seeing if it may benefit you and your family.
