VIDEO: TRON Construction Hits a Big Milestone in Disney World

One of the most highly anticipated new additions to Disney World is TRON Lightcycle Run. This E-ticket thrill ride from Shanghai Disneyland is currently under construction at Magic Kingdom, and we are crossing our fingers extra tight that we get to experience this ride sometime in 2022!

That said, we’ve been keeping a close watch on the construction progress happening around Tomorrowland. We visited Magic Kingdom today and we noticed a rather exciting development!

While we were cruising past the construction site on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, we spotted a test vehicle parked along the tracks!

Here’s what TRON construction looked like earlier this summer

You can check out a video we took of this recent construction development for TRON Lightcycle Run. If you look closely, you’ll be able to spot the stationary test vehicle at the top of the tracks near the exit of the show building:

While we didn’t see the test train move along the tracks, it was thrilling to spot this next stage in construction nonetheless. We’ll keep stopping by the construction site for TRON Lightcycle Run in the upcoming weeks and months! Disney has yet to announce an opening date for this ride, but once they do, we will let you know!
