There has been so much new Marvel content dropping recently from Disney+. We’ve seen shows like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki as well as upcoming films like Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings!

You might be just as excited as we are about all that entertainment…but, there’s one huge piece of Marvel content that hasn’t began filming just yet.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction of the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind over in EPCOT with our fingers crossed to see it finished soon. Previously, the attraction was set to open this past year, but Disney has remained relatively quiet on the ride’s debut date.

However, we may have a hint that it could be a little longer before the Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster opens in Disney World. Guardians of the Galaxy movie director James Gunn noted that filming for the attraction’s ride scenes is “on the agenda”, which means that a big part of the ride hasn’t been completed just yet.

Gunn has already announced that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be filming this year, as Disney noted that a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will also debut on Disney+.

Pretty sure neither the Guardians nor the Tron coasters will be opening in 2021. When it was announced that the Ratatouille ride in EPCOT would not be opening until October 1, it was stated that no other rides would be opening prior to that date, and there is no way Disney will open any new rides leading into their already busy period of the holidays. I am hoping they both open by early and mid summer 2022.
