One thing that Disney is really good at is creating some seriously cool robots.

We’ve fallen in love with advanced robots like Hondo Ohnaka in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, historic robots like Abe Lincoln in Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, and silly robots like the sleepy hippo on “it’s a small world!” Now, we’re taking a look at some of our favorites in EPCOT.
Here are the eight best audio-animatronics in EPCOT (in no particular order)!
Olaf — Frozen Ever After
Some of these animatronics are best for their tech — like Olaf on Frozen Ever After. When we first turned the corner on this attraction, we were shocked to see such a lifelike Olaf. And we still love him today!

Elsa — Frozen Ever After
Speaking of which, Elsa in the “Let It Go” scene on Frozen Ever After is a total marvel. The way her arms move? How do they make a robot do that?!

Benjamin Franklin — The American Adventure
Speaking of technological feats, did you know that the Benjamin Franklin in The American Adventure was the first-ever animatronic to climb stairs?

Mark Twain — The American Adventure
Similarly, Mark Twain was an amazing bot at the time (and still today). Look for the moment where Twain and Franklin shake hands. That’s so cool!

Donald — Gran Fiesta Tour
Donald and the other Cabelleros are interesting because these bots have actually been all over the world! They originated in the Mickey Mouse Revue at the Magic Kingdom, then went to Tokyo Disneyland, and now they’re in EPCOT’s Mexico!

At the moment, all three have been replaced by cardboard cutouts (no, really), so we’re anxiously awaiting their return!
Yellow Leggings Engineer — Spaceship Earth
You didn’t think we were going to go through this whole list without mentioning some of our favorites from the animatronics treasure trove that is Spaceship Earth, did you? Of course, Yellow Leggings Computer Engineer gets a big shout-out here for her iconic style.

Newspaper Boy Yelling at a Wall — Spaceship Earth
Oh, poor, poor Newspaper Boy. We always get a laugh when we pass by this little paperboy shouting his “Extra! Extra!” at a wall.

Michelangelo — Spaceship Earth
Our last choice on the list is kind of an underrated one. We love Michelangelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It really feels like you’re witnessing a piece of history straight out of the Renaissance.
