Reports emerged today from EPCOT citing that Tangierine Cafe, a Quick Service dining location in the Morocco Pavilion in World Showcase, was closed.
We can now confirm that the dining location has indeed closed temporarily, with no reopening date announced at this time.
We were able to confirm the news via Disney’s website, which states that Tangierine Cafe is “Temporarily Unavailable.”
It remains unclear at this time the exact reason why Tangierine Cafe is closed, although some have noted a lack of popularity in the location since EPCOT reopened.
EPCOT is currently in its annual Food and Wine Festival, this year known as “A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.” Disney’s new Park Pass Reservation System has also capped capacity at each of the theme parks, so EPCOT’s many dining locations are probably seeing a sharp drop in their usual attendance.
