Magic Kingdom is changing again!

Tom Sawyer and the Rivers of America are closing soon, the Walt Disney Railroad is changing, and we finally have an update on when the Buzz Lightyear refurbishment will begin!
In case you missed it, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is closing to undergo a major refurbishment in Tomorrowland! Disney previously announced the changes in March, but we finally know when the ride will close for the updates!

Your last day to ride the spinning, shooting style ride is August 3rd! The refurbishments and closure officially begin on August 4th, 2025. Disney’s website shows no official times beginning on the 4th, confirming the closure.

The refurbishment will feature a new ride scene, a new character, updated targets, and updated ride vehicles!

The ride will be closed until sometime in 2026, but Disney has yet to confirm an official reopening date. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates!
