We’re back at the Disney World Resorts!
After a months-long closure, select Disney Vacation Club Resort hotels and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds have reopened with other Disney Resorts following soon after!
And, we’re taking a closer look at some of the key differences and changes you can expect the next time you’re staying at the resorts! While multiple other resorts have reopened, we stayed at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort during the first day of openings.
Room Tour
Bay Lake Tower’s rooms have a very crisp and clean modern look with contemporary art and simple furniture.
Next to the balcony and the bed, there’s a couch with a teal accent wall behind it with different framed photos.
The TV stand comes with pull out drawers and a flat screen up above…
…while the kitchen area has a sink, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster.
The refrigerator has plenty of space for you to store all your leftover goodies from the resorts and parks.
The bathroom has a lovely mosaic in the shower and tub area so you can enjoy a nice bath or a shower whenever you want!
There’s also a safe in the room…
…along with clothing equipment like an iron, ironing board, and hangers.
Plus, the balcony is the perfect spot to sit in the Florida sunshine or relax after a lot day of shopping or riding your favorite attractions.
Health and Sanitation Precautions
But, since Disney World is has new health and safety regulations, the Disney Resorts are also implementing health and safety procedures.
All in all, there were not a ton of changes to the hotel rooms! One of the most notable ones was the addition of plastic around the remote controls. Cast Members will remove the plastic around the remotes and dispose of them, adding a new covering before the next guests arrive.
While Bay Lake Tower has travel-size toiletries for guests, the Disney World Resort hotels with reusable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash canisters in the shower area have plastic around each of the nozzles with a sticker showing they have been cleaned between each guest.
However, our room at Bay Lake Tower had travel size toiletries for each guest.
While we’ve been taking a look at all sorts of safety measures around the resorts, Disney is still doing everything they can to keep guests safe, even in the comfort of their own hotel rooms!
We will continue to keep you updated about our Walt Disney World Resort visit, so stay tuned!
