UPDATED! NEWS: Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts Announce They Will Be Closed Through July

UPDATE! Guests with reservations at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts have begun receiving emails asking to re-confirm their stay. While Disney’s Swan and Dolphin will not be taking new reservations through this time, it appears guests with existing reservations will still be able to keep them.

It was announced this weekend that Disney World Resorts will see some pretty big changes when they reopen from new cleaning protocols to reduced amenities.

Up until this weekend, Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts were both taking reservations through July, however they have announced today that their closure will be extended.

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts announced today that they will be closed through July 29th.

Previously, the date of closure had been listed through July 5th, so the extension will take the resorts closure through the end of the month.

  1. Here’s the scoop –

I am a status member with Marriott. To clear this up, I called and had a case opened to investigate, which was referred to the hotel case managers for resolution. This is as clear information as it gets.

The hotel will NOT be closed. However, they are also NOT taking any new reservations. If you have a reservation already, you are set. The Swan (and I presume Dolphin) will be open for existing reservations only.
