Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Pools
All of Walt Disney World’s Resort hotels have pools for guest use. These pools are themed, with some featuring truly over-the-top design and some remaining more restrained and subtle. But all offer refreshment on hot central Florida days and serve as a welcome diversion during a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Pool Rules
Some general rules and tips to keep in mind before we start dipping into the pools themselves:
- Every pool will have posted rules, and vigilant lifeguards will enforce them.
- Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult.
- You can eat and drink on the pool deck, but no food or drink are permitted in the pools themselves.
- Life jackets are typically available at Disney Resort pools, but they are first come, first served.
- You can bring some small pool toys from home, including soft and relatively small items like dive rings, inflatable beach balls, and soft water balls. Lifeguards can ask you to stop using them if they’re a distraction, however.
- Pools are open year-round, but some may close routinely for maintenance and/or refurbishments. Check with Disney before your trip.
- Pools close during inclement weather. They will only reopen if/when the weather clears.
- Typically, pools are also where the laundry services are for the Resorts. Click here to learn more about how technology is making laundry easier to do at Disney World.
- Many pools at Walt Disney World have pool lifts for guests needing assistance to enter the pools.
Note: You can’t pool-hop at Walt Disney World anymore (with a few exceptions, explained below). You will need to scan your MagicBand as a guest of the Resort in order to open the gates that encircle the pools.
~~~
The exceptions to this rule include the All-Star Resorts, where guests of one Resort can use pools at all three Resorts; Port Orleans Resort, where guests of the sister Resorts can use each other’s pools; and DVC members, who can use DVC pools when blockout dates are not in effect.
Pools by Resort
We’re sharing pictures and information about pools at every Disney World Resort. They are organized alphabetically within Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and DVC Villa categories. Let’s dive in!
Value Resort Pools
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
All-Star Movies has two pools. The feature pool is the Fantasia Pool, featuring Sorcerer Mickey and a simple squirting water effect.
A small kiddie pool and water play area are located just beside the Fantasia Pool.
The second pool is the Duck Pond Pool, located in the Mighty Ducks section of the Resort.
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
All-Star Music has two pools. The feature pool is themed to the Three Caballeros. This pool is called the Calypso Pool and is shaped like a guitar.
There is a small kiddie pool located near the Calypso Pool.
There’s also a small water play area near the Calypso Pool and Kiddie Pool.
The second pool at All-Star Music is the Piano Pool.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
All-Star Sports offers two pools. Surfboard Bay Pool is the feature pool and is themed after the sport of surfing. The area includes faux-boardwalk-style walkways and larger than life surfboards.
This Resort also has a small kiddie pool located near the feature pool.
The second pool at Sports is the Grand Slam Pool in (you guessed it!) the Baseball section of the Resort.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Art of Animation boasts the largest single pool at Walt Disney World. the feature pool in the Resort’s Finding Nemo section is called the Big Blue Pool. This pool has jellyfish water effects and a zero-entry that makes it easy for the whole family to splash together.
Near the Big Blue Pool, little ones can enjoy the Schoolyard Sprayground…
…and Squirt’s Righteous Reef, a Nemo-themed playground.
Art of Animation has three total pools. The second is located in the non-suite area of the Resort, themed after The Little Mermaid.
The final pool at Art of Animation is located in the Cars section of the Resort and is, naturally, called the Cozy Cone Pool. This pool is surrounded by Cozy Cone Motel cones, which offer some shade and are first come, first served.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Pop Century has three pools, each themed to a decade celebrated at the Resort. The feature is the Hippy Dippy Pool which has a sixties vibe.
A kiddie pool is located near the Hippy Dippy Pool.
The next pool at Pop Century is located in the fifties era of the Resort and is in the shape of a bowling pin. The pool deck is designed to resemble a bowling alley floor.
The last pool at Pop is the Computer Pool located in the nineties section of the Resort. This is a pretty simple pool (it’s just a rectangle, really), but the adjacent theming is fun.
The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The Campsites at Fort Wilderness share two pools with the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. The first is the feature Meadow Swimmin’ Pool. This pool has a 67-foot-long corkscrew slide.
For kids looking for some serious fun, there’s a water play area with kid-friendly slides and interactive elements!
The second pool at Fort Wilderness is the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, a large leisure pool without much theming to speak of.
Moderate Resort Pools
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Caribbean Beach Resort consists of several island sections, and that means this Resort has five small leisure pools — yes, five! These are in addition to the large feature pool, Fuentes del Morro Pool. The feature pool is inspired by a Spanish fortress and has two slides.
For kids, the truly awesome Shipwreck Water Play Area has kid-friendly slides, a crow’s nest, and a massive water feature that dumps tons of water on guests at regular intervals.
Caribbean Beach’s Fuentes del Morro pool also has a 12-person whirlpool spa.
The five leisure pools scattered about the Resort are simple and unthemed. But when you just want to cool off without the potential high-activity of the feature pool, these are a good option.
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
The main feature pool at Coronado Springs Resort is the Lost City of Cibola Pool more commonly referred to as the Dig Site Pool. This pool features a 50-foot-tall Mayan pyramid and a 123-foot-long slide.
This Resort has the World’s largest whirlpool, which will fit 22 people!
There’s also a kiddie pool here. It features just a few squirting water spouts, but it’s fun for the littles.
Coronado Springs Resort has three distinct areas called settlements. The settlements — the Casitas, the Ranchos, and the Cabanas — each have a small leisure pool. The Ranchos Pool is large and angular.
The Casitas Pool features marked swimming lanes if you want to get in some laps.
The Cabanas Pool is a more amorphous and curved. The Cabanas Pool and the Lost City of Cibola Pool are about equidistant from the Resort’s Gran Destino Tower, which does not have its own dedicated pool.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
This small Moderate Resort has just one pool onsite, but guests at French Quarter can also use the pools at Riverside. And though there’s only one pool on the property of French Quarter, the Doubloon Pool makes a (sea)Â monster-sized impression!
Yes, that’s a sea serpent slide, and it’s a blast for kids and kids at heart. For guests 48″ and under, the Doubloon Lagoon Water Play Area is another fun way to cool off.
French Quarter also has a small whirlpool.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Ol’ Man Island is the feature pool at Port Orleans — Riverside. This sprawling zone is 3.5 acres and includes a swimmin’ hole and a fishin’ hole! The pool is themed after an old sawmill and has a 95-foot-long slide.
Alligator Bayou’s pools are curved to resemble the contours of natural pools, while Magnolia Bend’s pools are more linear and formal-looking.
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness share two pools with the Campsites at Fort Wilderness. The first is the feature Meadow Swimmin’ Pool. This pool has a 67-foot-long corkscrew slide.
