Another stay at Pop: early arrival room-top floor-
90's building-all requests fulfilled. I like the refurbished rooms. Great utilization of space.
My room had a shower only, no bath tub, which I didn't know existed. Not a problem for me but someone might mind not having tub. Nice selection in the food court at the grab and go area.
Magical Express service can't be beat.

Pros:

another nice stay

Cons:

none

This was our 7th stay here, and it is losing its appeal to us. The hotel gets more crowed every time we go - and we always travel at "slow" times. The amount of groups here is pretty bad. One group from Argentina took up an entire bus! There were multiple large groups during our stay - you can tell as they are al dressed alike with matching backpacks, etc. The busses were slow - even though they state what times they are to arrive, we found this was not accurate. The dining area was horrific - each day I dreaded entering it was so loud, busy and chaotic. The next door neighbors were extremely loud and we wore earplugs each night to drown out the noise. The housekeeping staff was EXCELLENT - very friendly did a great job making us feel at home. Did not use the pool, too cold. Did notice it is now enclosed with a fence around it. Did not see ping pong table? Check in now is non existent - all done beforehand - that was nice. Getting picked up 3 plus hours before 7 am flight was rough - but included and no cost so we sucked it up. This is by far the best of the value resorts ( Music,Sports,Movies ) so out of the four - this is the best choice - and there is no bus sharing like at the other value resorts - time saver.

Pros:

Location - atmosphere - housekeeping

Cons:

Crowed - Loud

this was my 15th trip to Disney and I was impressed with the room upgrades.

Now equipped with hardwood floors, a queen size bed, a queen size pull down ben, coffee maker, fridge, in room safe, stand up shower, Smart TV, LED lighting, blow dryer, and more. great storage, your luggage will fit under the bed and the stand up shower is big with glass sliding doors.

The food court has gotten better, the food is better than prevous years, diner was incredible. I dined in one night for dinner abd had pot roast with mashed potatoes, green beans and a red wine demi glaze/gravy.

only downside was having groups of cheerleadrs and dance moms show up on the weekend.

Overall Great Stay

Pros:

upgraded rooms, Transportaion, 2 rsoerts for one price, great food

Cons:

groups stay here,

We stayed in the 80's building from 1/4 - 1/8. At first I was disappointed that we had a refurbished room. It didn't seem "Disney", but we were very pleased. It's nice to have a queen bed. There is more storage space. The room feels cleaner with the bare floor. There is now a coffee pot and a large tv. The pull down bed is comfortable.
I've read complaints about the distance to the main building. We've always stayed at the Value Resorts and never found any walk to be too long. From the 80's building, we were able to take a shortcut across the parking lot and we were right at the buses and main building.
We do have a few complaints with the refurbished rooms. Now that there isn't a carpet, we could hear the people walking around upstairs. Also, there are now sliding doors on the bathrooms. Again, we could hear every time someone upstairs slid the door closed and let it bang shut.
We are returning in August and would definitely stay here again!

Pros:

refurbished room, clean

Cons:

noise from upstairs neighbors

This is our 3rd visit at POP in the past 3 yrs. We are in the eighties section with a refurbished room. The rooms now have queen beds, one being a Murphy bed that can be stored away to allow for a very small table and 2 chairs. We are 3 adults and a teen so we appreciate the larger beds but the room has very little space with both beds. We like that the floors are carpet-free and that the beds are now comfy. The refurb is not small child friendly though. The beds are higher off the floor, there is no bathtub and curtains are now sliding doors that could pinch little fingers. The 70s, 60s and 50s sections are the closest to the main building and buses. This 80s building is quite a walk.

Pros:

Organized bus lines, well lit, staff

Cons:

Refurb rooms with some negatives

For my Oct 30 visit, I was so pleased to have all my room requests filled-early arrival, upper floor and building 9-newly refurbished. The room was delightful! In May I stayed in building 1 so I had a recent experience with the old decor. The new room is smartly designed utilizing the space very well. It felt huge to me. I loved the Mickeys over the bed! I didn't pull down the murphy bed to see the Plutos over the bed but I'll bet they are cute too. Really a comfortable, clean room.

Pros:

Nice new room!

I wish they would post the bus times on the TV, just like they post the hrs of the parks. 🙂 🙂 🙂

We love the POP and the people who stay there.

Pros:

We love our deep cleaning room. AAAAAA++++++

Cons:

I wish they would post the bus times on the TV.

We booked here during the free dining promotion (we actually selected this hotel prior to the promotion and then modified our package.) We chose to stay in the 90's sections as it was the only building that the remodels were complete it. The rooms were nice and new but very far from the lobby/pool. It took about 10 minutes to walk anywhere. Of the 3 pools that are on property there only one was open late enough when we got back so we really got to experience the hippy dippy pool since the others were closed. Aside from being far away the hotel itself was nice and definitely worth the value we paid. I was a little disappointed that we never received the birthday wake up call I scheduled for my mom but I guess not everything can go as planned. Overall, i would definitely recommend this resort especially durning free dining season.

Pros:

Remodeled rooms, quiet for being a value resort

Cons:

Remodeled building is furtherest from the main Hall

Stayed here to save money-had been here in the past. Room décor was very standard-got rid of Disney themed bed linens. Was great for sleep and shower but nothing extraordinary. A/C in room worked great especially since weather was warm and humid. Mousekeeping was standard-nothing special. Stayed in 50's building by the lake which was very quiet. Kids enjoyed the pool and pool bar was very good. Food court-very standard-could use some upgrading. Ate at Art of Animation which was much better.

Pros:

value

Cons:

standard room decor

I stayed at the Pop Century resort from May 16-24. I knew they were refurbishing rooms and hoped I wouldn't be disturbed by noise. I had a preferred room and that was a wonderful feature. My walk to the MK bus stop was about a minute.
I was at the opposite side of the resort from the refurb so I was in no way inconvenienced. Bus service was great to and from the resort. I waited once for 20 minutes for a bus-most times it came almost as soon as I walked up to the stop. I also used Express Transportation between parks and it was a wonderful feature. I bought the 7 day ticket and used it three different days. Great feature for me but $29 /person may be a lot for a family. The two dinners I picked up at the food court were tasty and reasonably priced. There was a nice selection to choose from. I look forward to staying in a refurbished room some time in the future. This was my fourth stay at Pop and I'm sure it won't be my last.

Pros:

Great location, pleasant room

Cons:

None
