After arriving from hard rock at universal we were expecting good things from the beach club. They first thing that greets you is the cool AC and that smell divine! A bad start we were made to wait 1.5 hours for our room, but they did give us 100$ for our troubles. First thing we noticed is that not all rooms booked in the same tier have the same facilities. Some have a larger balcony, some have a sofa bed, some have a freezer, some have a separate sink, bathroom so best to ask ahead if you want these. The pool while covering quite a large area, isn’t that great as the bottom of the pool is rough and can cut your knees/ feet. Also as it winds round, it can take you a lot of bridge crosses to get drinks back to your lounger. The lazy river is very small and way too deep, overall a normal large pool with swim up bar would have been much better. The facilities of the hotel are excellent and plenty of activities, the shop is great with lots of healthy offerings. The best thing about the hotel are the big rooms, comfortable beds, and amazing location in Disney world, easy access to all the parks.

Pros:

Amazing location , great AC and smell, big rooms.

Cons:

Pool area tries to do everything and comes up short, expensive hotel

Great location, relaxed atmosphere, excellent view of Boardwalk across the lake. Best resort pool area on property, which can be a pro or con depending.

Pros:

Short walk to EPCOT, obviously Stormalong Bay, Beaches and Cream. Decent restaurants at connected Yacht Club. Boat transportation to/from Epcot and Hollywood Studios

Cons:

Marketplace food options are hit or miss. Could have long wait for bus depending how many people boarded at Yacht Club. Might be better to walk to Yacht Club bus depot instead of waiting at Beach Club.

This resort's proximity to Epcot and its unique pool area, keep it close to the top of our resort list. We don't stay here often, for two main reasons. It gets so crowded at the pool area that we just feel too crowded (and you need a wrist band just to take a little dip late in the day). The second reason relates to that in relation to its price. For the cost, we'd hope for an easier poolside experience. We've stayed concierge and it doesn't help make up for that extreme congestion around the pool. Nothing beats this location of course, and parking is easier than at Boardwalk or Dolphin, when you have a car, but staying during a quieter time might be our only solution for this resort.

Pros:

location and pool area

Cons:

congestion at pool area

We stayed a few days at the DVC Beachclub Resort to enjoy the Food and Wine Festival. We loved our location, but a little surprised that the room was a tad "worn" looking. For the price/points one pays for this upscale resort, they should really update the rooms. We could see water damage in the bathroom. So obvious that we wondered why it hasn't been noticed and fixed. Overall beautiful resort and location to Food and Wine Festival.

Pros:

Awesome location

Cons:

room looked a little worn

We stayed in a standard view 05/27-06/01. Proximity to Hollywood Studios and Epcot were the reason we picked this resort. The walk to Epcot is 5 min. The walk to Hollywood studios is 20+ minutes and not easy in the heat and humidity. I requested a ground floor room close to lobby. I got a 4th floor room at the furthest possible point away from elevators. I expected to have at least one of my requests granted. I got the opposite of both. The room appeared to be in good shape and I had no major issues. The balcony is a joke. It's so small it shouldn't be called a balcony. The Marketplace is small for the size of the resort. However, it never felt overcrowded. I picked up some muffins and danishes several mornings with no wait to checkout. You can refill your resort mugs at pool or at marketplace. At the Boardwalk you either have to ask bartender at pool bar or walk to Bakery. The pool area is a positive aspect. The only day the pool felt really crowded was Saturday afternoon. Kids can stayed entertained at pool for hours. The boat ride to Hollywood Studios is not bad, but you have to stop at Swan before going to Studios. One the way back you have to stop at Swan first before going to Beach Club. The real only issue I had is the room requests not being granted. The other negative aspect is the parking lots are a good walk from the lobby if staying in the Resort side. The Villas appeared to be located a little closer to self parking. Why is the valet parking lot closer to the building than the self parking? It's the same way at Boardwalk.

Pros:

Location, Pool

Cons:

Not many

Our main reason for staying at the Beach Club was the quick walk to Epcot's World Showcase as we like to dine there. There is also boat service to Epcot and Hollywood which was super convenient and quick to our 2 favorite parks.

Our room was clean and attractive and spacious enough for the 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable. We expected a balcony big enough to sit on and were disappointed in our tiny balcony barely big enough for 1 person to stand on They offered us another room the next day but we had a full day scheduled and knew we would not have the time or energy to move. This was the most skimpily furnished room we have ever had and the most expensive. We have stayed at AK Lodge(best resort), Grand Floridian and several moderate resorts.

We ate at the Captains Grille the first night which was nothing special. For breakfast we prefer room service. The food choices are a little better and about the same price. A few things available you don't get downstairs. Also a lot less chaotic.

Bus service to AK and MK seemed a little slower than other places . Our first morning there were 6 MK buses and finally and AK bus. We had to stand in a tight crowd and felt really beat up to start off our first day at AK.

Pros:

Close to Epcot & Hollywood

Cons:

Skimpy room for the price

OK folks, Just got back from staying 6 nights at the Beach club and here is the Scoop. I read a lot of the reviews and agree with some and disagree with others. There are a lot of cosmetic issues at the beach club, I mean a lot. The people that wrote about bleached patches of carpet in the corridors are correct as well as the people that wrote about peeling wallpaper, however, we are not very critical of those things. If you are then don't stay here.

I'll start with the pros: 1. The beauty of the resort is amazing, the landscaping is top notch. 2. The proximity to EPCOT can't be beat. 3. The pool is the best any where on property. 4. If you have any questions, the cast members are most helpful. 5. The quick service dining is pretty good but not great.

Now for the cons: 1. As I said above, the cast members are helpful if you have a question, however, they don't go out of their way to speak to you unless you initiate the conversation. 2. The temperature in the room is either too warm or too cool, there is no possible way to get it just right. 3. Mousekeeping- I am not kidding you when I tell you that they did not clean the room one single day while we were there and I'll tell you why. Our families typical room cleaning schedule is to have them clean every other day, so we planned on this again. We would leave the room at about 7 in the morning and get tired of the heat, crowds and walking at about 2 pm and head back to the room and do you know mousekeeping didn't clean the room yet so I figured they could go around me but they never came before 3 pm.

Absolutely amazing resort. We went for 15 nights in November for the 50th Anniversary. It was a big trip for myself and my mum as we hadn't been to WDW for 20 years. We had never stayed on property at WDW before.

We've previously stayed on property at Disneyland Paris, which was always good. For ease, we decided to stay at Beach Club for our big trip, and we loved it.

The room was clean, house keeping came each day and it was always perfect. We had a ground floor room, with our room opening out to gardens, which was where you could find us most mornings enjoying our breakfast!

The resort is so clean and just has a great feel about it. Stormalong Bay - amazing.

The best thing about Beach Club? The location. We're huge Epcot lovers, so being right next to our favourite park was great for us. Also being fairly close to Hollywood Studios, was a bonus.

The only thing I'm going to say, however, is the price. We've looked at going for another trip and the price has sky rocketed. Our trip wasn't cheap by any means of the imagination, but if we were to go again, it's just too expensive, which is a huge shame. For context, we paid around £7k for our trip and they're now looking at around £11k+

Pros:

Location to Epcot and Hollywood Studios Close to skyliner Clean Stormalong Bay

Cons:

Price
