Disney Genie: Lightning Lane Single Pass
Disney is constantly changing, evolving, and developing! Every year, as technology and guests’ vacation expectations change, Disney works to anticipate those challenges and make magic in their parks! New magic was unveiled in 2024! Disney announced that on July 24th its “skip the line” system is changing in Disney World! Let’s get into it!

Overview
Using the My Disney Experience App, guests will be able to:
- Plan your Lightning Lane selections ahead of your Disney trip!
- Pick your favorite rides and times before buying so there are no surprises.
- You can even lock in passes for several days of your vacation all at once.
Now, you can snag up to 2 Single Pass Lightning Lane selections per day before your visit (yes, it’s just as convenient as it sounds). Pick your available times as you book! These passes are reserved for the most popular, in-demand attractions at each park.
Planning
Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and select partner hotels can lock in their Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days ahead for their entire stay (up to 14 days). All other visitors can plan up to 3 days in advance.
These early booking windows allow guests to lock in their must-do rides and experiences while seamlessly working around any dining reservations or other plans they’ve already made.
Guests can choose to purchase a Multi Pass Lightning Lane, a Single Pass Lightning Lane, or both. The app has been updated to streamline the process, making it faster and easier with fewer steps—and now you can buy both Single and Multi Pass Lightning Lanes in a single transaction.
Lightning Lane combines the best features of existing Disney services with the former FastPass+ system, offering guests the option to plan ahead and eliminating the stress of making arrangements during their vacation.
How To Guide
Once you’re in your planning window (7+ days for resort guests or 3 days for non-resort guests), starting at 7AM (ET), you can book up to three Lightning Lane Multi-Pass experiences for each day of your trip.
You can make your selections through the My Disney Experience app on your phone or on the Disney website. Just be sure your entire travel party is linked to your account before you start booking!
You’ll be able to view the available attractions and times. After selecting your Single Pass Lightning Lane attraction and preferred time, you’ll be prompted to complete your purchase for the Single Pass Lightning Lane service for that day.
You can choose to purchase the Single Pass Lightning Lane service for every day of your trip or just for specific days when you want to use it.
You can hold up to 2 Single Pass Lightning Lane experiences at any one time.
You can also purchase the Multi Pass Lighting Lane service for specific attractions that only available through that option

All four Disney World parks feature attractions with Lightning Lane access. Here’s the breakdown.
Magic Kingdom
When you buy a Single Pass Lightning Lane for Magic Kingdom park, you’ll be asked to select up to 2 Single Pass experiences along with your preferred arrival windows.

EPCOT
When buying a Lightning Lane Single Pass for EPCOT, there’s only one attraction available for this service, but you can choose your preferred arrival window.

Hollywood Studios
When buying a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Hollywood Studios, there’s only one attraction eligible for this service, but you can choose your preferred arrival window.
