We’re breaking down everything we know about Project Fedora, right here!

This week, Disney submitted two Notices of Commencement to the Orange County Comptroller. Both of the permits detail general construction at 253 Cyprus Drive, which is located just outside of the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. You can spot the project on this map from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.

The first permit states that Disney will be working with Artistic Entertainment Services LLC (AES) on the work. According to their website, AES “builds theme park rides, brand activations, and 100+ Rose Parade floats.” They also show work on parades like the Festival of Fantasy parade in Magic Kingdom. They state they work on

    • Ride vehicles & scenic elements
    • Character figures & animatronics
    • Queue theming & show installations
    • Interactive & immersive environments

The second permit states Disney will be working with Slalom Construction & Services, Inc. This is a general contractor that recently worked with Disney on projects in EPCOT. Both permits were filed by Disney’s Facility Asset Management Team, which typically handles maintenance.

The inclusion of AES on the project does indicate that there could be some signage or design changes around the area. Our best guess would be an updated seating area or a new merchandise stand. There is very little detail on what the general construction could consist of in the permits. The project name does indicate it could be connected to the stunt show, thanks to Indiana’s famous hat. The construction will be near the Backlot Express.

Hollywood Studios is a world of walls these days, thanks to projects like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring the Muppets, The Walt Disney Studios, and ‘Monsters, Inc.’ Land. So really, what’s a few more for a little while? We’re eagerly awaiting news on what these changes could be, so be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more.
