Epic Universe has officially been open to the public for over a month now, and we’ve started to see some rides that previously went down pretty often even out a little bit.

It looks like the park is now closer to full capacity than it was at this time last month, so we’re really seeing what wait times are genuinely like during the summertime. While we’ve seen previously troublesome rides like Battle at the Ministry have fewer and fewer issues, there’s one ride that had BIG issues yesterday, more than we were expecting.
Yesterday was a pretty rainy day in the park, which means it’s MUCH harder to ride a lot of the attractions, since many of them are outdoors and will close during storms. Mine-Cart Madness in Super Nintendo World is one of them, but this ride had some additional issues yesterday that we didn’t expect.

The ride started delayed for Early Entry, then was open for two hours…before being delayed again at noon and 1 PM. Then, the weather came in and delayed the ride for another hour. It opened again at 2 PM, only to go down AGAIN at 4 PM and 5 PM.

Finally, the ride remained open from 6 PM through closing at 9 PM. Overall, it was closed for 6 out of 13 hours of the park day, which isn’t great. However, we’ve seen worse during even stormier days, so if you know the day you’re heading to the park is going to be rainy, watch the forecast and radar CLOSELY so you can so you can plan to get in line for the outdoor attractions the moment the rain stops.
