These rides are getting spooky later this year.

With the dates confirmed for the 2024 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – August 9th through October 31st – our focus now shifts to what the party is going to offer this year. There will be treats, shows, and our focus today: RIDES! As usual for the event, several Magic Kingdom attractions will get special Halloween overlays, while others will simply be open for guests to enjoy during the party.
Three of Magic Kingdom’s most popular attractions will feature “spooky music” and “special effects” which Disney describes as giving an “extra-eerie vibe” during the party.

These include:
Space Mountain, which will take place in complete darkness with “spooky” music playing throughout.
Mad Tea Party features “special lightning effects” that provide the ride with a unique, Halloween ambiance.
Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor features Halloween-themed jokes and comedy.

In addition to these Halloween-overlayed attractions, the following rides will be open during the party and available to guests (with the added bonus of shorter than usual lines thanks to the party’s limited capacity):
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Jungle Cruise
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Haunted Mansion
- Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- “it’s a small world”
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- The Barnstormer
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Astro Orbiter
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover
- TRON Lightcycle / Run.

The 2024 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is going to feature a massive roster of open Magic Kingdom attractions, including several with special Halloween overalls only available during the event. Stay tuned to AllEars for more coverage of this year’s Halloween party.
