Are you planning a trip to Disney World in February?

February could be a great month to visit. You’ve got the EPCOT Festival of the Arts to check out through most of the month. The weather is generally cooler (although it can get COLD). However, some events happening during February could mean you end up with more crowds in the parks.
We’ve already warned you about one event in February, the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games that will take place from February 1st through February 4th, but there are also some cheerleading and dance competitions coming up in February that could mean more crowds in the parks, too.

The 2024 UDA National Dance Team Championship will take place on February 4th, with dance teams arriving in the parks a day or two before the competition, and likely hanging around after. That means a lot more people are headed to the parks. That also means that hotels like Disney’s All-Star Resorts will be a little extra packed (this is where the teams typically stay).

There will also be a special after hours event for competitors in Magic Kingdom on Friday, February 2nd, as well as a special Celebration Party in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Sunday, February 4th. Expect to see additional crowds in those parks.

But that’s not all because the 2024 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship is on February 11th, which means that’s another weekend you might want to avoid Disney World. Competitors will also get extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom on Friday, February 9th, while a Celebration Party will be held in Hollywood Studios on Sunday, February 11th.
Note that competitors for both events also get tickets to the parks, so you’ll be seeing a LOT more people around than usual.

You’ll also need to be aware of the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend that runs from February 22nd through February 26th. That will also increase crowds in the parks. Needless to say, weekends in February in Disney World are going to be VERY busy, so keep that in mind.
If you DO have plans to visit Disney World during these weekends, just remember to pack your patience and consider getting Genie+ to avoid long standby lines for rides.
