Disney World Is Making a Major Ride Announcement Later This Week

Hollywood Studios is having a BIG year in 2026 with the new Walt Disney Studios area getting revamped and the overhaul of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is getting a Muppets overhaul after the Aerosmith version of the ride closed earlier this year, and it’ll be reopening in the summer with a new storyline and pre-show. If you’re eager to learn more about the ride’s changes, then there’s an important date to mark on your calendar.

On Thursday, April 16th, 2026, Disney will be dropping the FULL track list for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets. This is perhaps the most anticipated part of the ride, as we’ll be getting covers of popular songs.

The ride entrance

The band playing those tunes? The Electric Mayhem! Yes, the Muppets themselves. Some tracks may have guest artists joining the band, so we’ll be excited to see what’s included. The soundtrack was one of the fans’ favorite parts of the Aerosmith version of the ride, so we expect Disney to roll out some absolute bangers for the Muppets version.

In fact, we’ve already got one of the songs confirmed! Disney announced on Monday, April 13th, that “Song 2” by The Blur is one of The Electric Mayhem covers. We got the chance to listen to it at a media event, and it definitely got us amped!

We’ll make sure to share the news with you as soon as we get the tracks revealed. Dare we say this soundtrack is going to ROCK?!
