The 2026 edition of EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival launched on March 4th, and its first morning saw Disney experimenting with a new queue system for park entry.

As non-Disney resort guests lined up to rope drop EPCOT during the festival’s opening day, we saw guests being split into three distinct lines, presumably to help ease the traffic flow.
One line was for guests who planned to head directly to EPCOT’s attractions, one was for those looking to immediately purchase Flower & Garden merchandise, and a third was specifically for those who wanted to buy the festival’s in-demand limited edition pins. The pace for each line was set by a Cast Member leading the way.

The line for the pin also involved Cast Members handing out numbered wristbands to guests, who then could line up once again for their opportunity to purchase the limited collectible.

The split was presumably aimed at allowing those there to rope drop the park’s rides as usual, and those specifically aiming for Flower & Garden merchandise to have their own distinct paths, thereby avoiding large swaths of major crowds full of those with distinctly different goals.
Unfortunately, the line structures seemed to break down pretty quickly as people began moving into the park.

Disney experimented with a new crowd control method during the opening of the 2026 Flower & Garden Festival on March 4th. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on the 2026 fest, which runs through June 1st.
