EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival is one of the park’s most beloved annual events. However, to make the best of your time at the fest, there are some mistakes you NEED to avoid.

The 2026 Flower & Garden Festival is set to run from March 4th through June 1st. This year’s assortment of 20 outdoor kitchens is offering more than 75 new menu items for festival-goers to enjoy. However, there are some festival mistakes that are easy to fall prey to.
“Not Looking at Menus Beforehand/Planning Out which Dishes to Sample”
While it can be tempting to look at the sprawling menu and think you can just sample every item at your leisure, reality is a bit different. Between long queues, the distance between booths, and just how full you’ll feel after 3-4 dishes. So, you should plan what 5-6 must-have items you want beforehand. That way, you still have a guide for the day, but can still change things up if need be.

“Not Taking Allergy Medication”
This may sound like a joke, but we’re being serious. There are a lot of plants around the park, and they can wreak havoc and ruin the day of guests with seasonal allergies who don’t come prepared.

“Going Opening Weekend or Closing Day”
The festival’s first few days are often crowded with guests wanting to sample the eats and treats as soon as possible, not to mention the fact that some elements of the fest may not be available yet. When it comes to the final day of the festival, the issue is fewer crowds (though they are crowded with last-minute guests) and more the fact that by the end of the fest, certain food items or souvenirs may run out, and some experiences may be discontinued early.

“Making Restaurant Reservations”
EPCOT offers arguably the best restaurant lineup of any Disney theme park on the planet, with World Showcase alone home to some of the company’s most iconic restaurants. However, it’s best to skip them if you’re visiting during a Flower & Garden Festival day. As mentioned above, there are already too many festival food options to sample in a day. Don’t limit yourself further by having a dinner reservation to save room.

“Not Taking the Bee Situation Seriously”
Once again, this is not a joke! Watch out for bees, who tend to congregate around the topiaries… and sometimes Joffrey’s coffee cart, much to our dismay.

If you’re heading to the Flower & Garden Festival this year, be sure to AVOID making these mistakes… trust us. Stay tuned to AllEars for more tips from our very own personal experiences.
