The day has come – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith closes tomorrow! Your last day to ride the iconic Hollywood Studios attraction is tomorrow – Sunday, March 1st.
Along with the ride closure, its gift shop and food truck will close as well. Here’s how to have one last rockin’ day before it’s gone forever!
This Sunday, March 1st, will be your last day to ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. It’s a high-speed dark roller coaster that plays five classic Aerosmith songs depending on your ride vehicle. Get ready for one last ride in the fast lane!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being re-themed to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. The ride will follow the Electric Mayhem band now that G-Force Records has been bought by Scooter’s uncle. Scooter is running the record label with help from your favorite Muppets like Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo. It’s expected to open this summer!
March 1st will also be the last day to shop at Rock Around the Shop. It has some Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster-themed merch exclusive to the store, with some fun t-shirts and sweatshirts. Our favorite items are Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster-branded drumsticks and guitar picks! It’s a one-of-a-kind gift or souvenir for any music lover.
We’re expecting the store to be converted into a Muppets-themed shop like the former Stage 1 Company Store in Muppets Courtyard. This store had Muppets t-shirts, plushies, and more souvenirs. Grab some Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster merch on your way out, just in case it doesn’t come back!
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is expected to open this summer. It will be completely re-themed to follow the Electric Mayhem band. Construction is already underway, with more permits being filed last week!
