For many Disney Adults — ourselves included — the Magic Kingdom feels like the ultimate safe space where we can be ourselves and indulge in a place where the “young heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn … together.”

However, there’s no doubt that some take things a bit too far, and engage in behaviors we really wish they’d knock off.
Loudly Quoting Dialogue
Trust me, we can all recite the Haunted Mansion’s Stretching Room spiel, know that Uncle Orville feels like he has no privacy at all on the Carousel of Progress, and don’t want Carlos to be chicken on Pirates of the Caribbean. However, there are plenty of guests experiencing these rides and attractions for the first time and would rather actually hear them than a fellow rider reciting along.

Blocking Walkways
Sometimes Disney Magic gets the best of all of us, and it can be muscle memory to stop or take a photo in front of the castle, or to eye some obscure easter egg related to company history. But always be aware of your surroundings, and step off to the side to do so instead of stopping smack-dab in the middle of a bust, crowded walkway.

Napping in the Carousel of Progress
Look, we get it. It’s air-conditioned and dark inside the Carousel of Progress’s revolving theater, and the show — while we love it — can be a bit… slow for modern sensibilities. It’s understandable that some guests may inadvertently doze off during the presentation. However, there’s a world of difference between that and taking a full-on nap. The latter is unfair to guests who would rather hear Rover barking than others snoring. This is going to become even more true when the show is upgraded with new elements — including a Walt Disney Animatronic — later this year.

There’s no doubt that Disney Adults love the Magic Kingdom, but we really wish those who engage in these behaviors would knock it off, as they negatively affect other guests. Stay tuned to AllEars for more thoughts on the Disney World experience.
I Had a Disappointing Experience at Magic Kingdom, and I Know I’m Not the Only One

Nope. I will be napping on the carousel of progress each and every time I visit the Magic Kingdom.
