If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom over the next week, read this before scanning in.

Disney Starlight just premiered in Disney World, and we saw MASSIVE crowds, so you’ll want to watch out for crowds along the parade route (especially Main Street, U.S.A.), but that does mean attraction wait times may drop around both parade times, so it could be a major win for you. However, if you were hoping to ride THIS attraction this week, we’ve some sad news, because it’s officially under refurbishment.
Under The Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid is now officially closed for a brief refurbishment between July 21st and July 26th.

Under The Sea is a classic, omnimover dark ride attraction that takes you through the journey of the little mermaid (literally) with songs from the film. You’ll see Ariel wishing to be part of the human world in “Part of your World,” Ursula in “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” the iconic moment between Ariel and Eric in “Kiss The Girl,” and so much more.

This is a great family-friendly attraction for all ages, and some members of our team have a special place in their hearts for it (hi, it’s me, JP, writing this, I’m the one with a special place in my heart for it, I HAVE to ride it every trip).

We’re thankful this closure is only for a few days and that no changes are expected to be made during this refurbishment.

If you need your Little Mermaid fix, you can head over to Hollywood Studios to see The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure. This newly reimagined stage show will also take you through Ariel’s story, all while sitting in comfortable chairs and air conditioning.

The show recently debuted alongside Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, and we’ve been loving kicking back and watching live entertainment in these hot summer months.
