This NEW Disney World Restaurant Report Can Make or Break Your Next Trip

Disney World is always changing, which means we have to constantly reevaluate how we tackle the parks.

The same can be said about Disney World restaurants. Over the years, the restaurants inside the Disney Parks have shifted in popularity, which greatly affects how we go about making Advanced Dining Reservations.

Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR) are a way to ensure priority seating at a Disney World restaurant. You can use this system to reserve dining experiences digitally via your account on the Disney World website or through the My Disney Experience app, up to 60 days out from your desired dining dates.

Dining without ADR is kind of a big no-no unless you don’t really care where you’re eating. To say Disney World is popular is an understatement, and securing your spot at a restaurant is never a given…unless you use ADR.

However, not all restaurants are equal when it comes to ease of getting a reservation. Some have reservations open even if you decide to book last minute. Others fill up within minutes 60 days out.

We’ll be going through each Disney World park restaurant and discussing the difficulty of obtaining an Advanced Dining Reservation.

For this list, we’ll be using a tiered system, which is as follows:

• Level 1: Easy to Snag
• Level 2: Moderate
• Level 3: Hard to Get

Level 1 restaurants offer decent same-day and future-day availability.

Level 2 restaurants don’t always have same-day or next-day reservations BUT have plenty soon after. Sometimes there’s a mix: days with no reservations and random days where it’s easy to get one. These reservations are also a bit more limited in general (closed some days, smaller seating, etc.) or are especially popular for some other reason like theming.

Level 3 restaurants don’t usually have walk-up waitlists offered and almost never have same-day reservations available. They also have limited future reservations in the next few days.

Magic Kingdom

Cinderella’s Royal Table — Level 3

Good luck getting a reservation here.

This unique character dining experience is one of the most popular in all of Disney World, and getting same-day reservations is near impossible. Book as soon as you can.

Be Our Guest Restaurant — Level 3

Be Our Guest can be difficult to dine at, but we’ve had enough experiences in the past where same-day reservations WERE available.

While this restaurant can be incredibly tough to book, it’s not always (sometimes, next-day reservations are also available). You just might get lucky with last-minute reservations here.

The Diamond Horseshoe — Level 2

The Diamond Horseshoe also teeters between levels, but sometimes we’ve had trouble with next-day reservations, so it earns a Level 2 spot.

The space is also kind of small, which definitely limits its availability.

The Plaza Restaurant — Level 2

The Plaza Restaurant can also feature some really limited reservations, putting it in Level 2.

Once again, the size of the dining space affects availability. It’s limited in size, which can make ADRs tricky.

Tony’s Town Square — Level 2

Tony’s Town Square usually has decent future-day availability, making it a Level 2 entry.

This restaurant can be pretty forgiving regarding reservation availability, but it’s just popular enough to stay above Level 1.

The Crystal Palace — Level 1

This may be a bit controversial, but we’ve actually had great luck with The Crystal Palace, moving it into Level 1.

There have been times when reservations were a dime a dozen, and, thus, this character dining experience lands in Level 1.

Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen — Level 1

While same-day reservations aren’t always a given, we feel pretty good about next-day ressies, so we’re sticking Skipper Canteen in Level 1.

Magic Kingdom same-day reservations aren’t always guaranteed, but Skipper Canteen will be one of your best bets.

Liberty Tree Tavern — Level 1

Liberty Tree Tavern isn’t usually abundant with same-day reservations, but it does fare better than the similar Diamond Horseshoe.

Thanks to its bigger size, Liberty Tree Tavern is a constant go-to for last-minute and next-day reservations.

EPCOT

Space 220 and Space 220 Lounge — Level 3

EPCOT’s newest restaurant Space 220 has been a hot ticket since opening.

This space-themed restaurant and its lounge are ALWAYS booked up, so really take advantage of the 60-day window if you MUST dine here.

Biergarten Restaurant — Level 3

Surprisingly, Biergarten is a Level 3 restaurant.

We’ve found this restaurant to be severely limited, and have instances when making future reservations was just not possible.

La Hacienda de San Angel — Level 3

La Hacienda de San Angel winds up in Level 3 thanks to a lack of future reservations.

It’s not quite the worst, but we’ve sometimes been able to book reservations as early as two weeks out, making this a surprising Level 3 entry.

Le Cellier Steakhouse — Level 3

Not too much of a shock, Le Cellier lands in the Level 3 category thanks to its high demand.

This steakhouse is one of the most popular restaurants at Disney World, and we’ve had difficulty getting reservations weeks out.

Tutto Italia Ristorante — Level 3

Tutto Italia is another suprise Level 3 entry, and it gets that classification thanks to its varying availability.

We’ve noticed that when it has reservations open, there is an abundant selection weeks out. However, if you’re looking for something soon, you might run into some real trouble.

Via Napoli — Level 3

When it’s limited, Via Napoli is really limited. Good luck getting anything in the short term.

With that in mind, we’ve had pretty good luck searching for reservations weeks away.

Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room — Level 2

Rose and Crown only has dinner service at the moment, and that makes it super limited.

We’ve found scattered next-day reservations, but, ultimately, it’s a mixed bag and that’s why it’s in Level 2.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall — Princess Storybook Restaurant — Level 2

While same-day reservations aren’t always available for Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, we’ve had decent luck with next-day availability.

We’ve actually found this spot to be pretty available despite being a character dining location.

Coral Reef Restaurant — Level 2

Coral Reef can go back and forth, having same-day availability and surprising limitations.

One of the true mixed bags, you never know what you’re going to see with Coral Reef.

Garden Grill — Level 2

Garden Grill is another hit-or-miss restaurant regarding ADR.

Garden Grill has had days where next-day reservations are wide open, but the day after, there are none available. It can be a crapshoot.

Chefs de France — Level 2

Once again, we find a mixed bag with Chefs de France.

Its availability can be all over the place and really depends on when you visit. As always, advanced dining reservations 60 days out will alieve the stress of worrying.

Monsieur Paul Restaurant — Level 2

Monsieur Paul is complicated, thanks to its days of operation.

This signature dining experience is not open on Sundays and Mondays, creating more limitations.

Spice Road Table – Level 2

Spice Road Table might not be filling as many tables as it could, and that creates complications.

Some days, getting a table is super easy. Other days, not so much. You’ll probably have decent luck here, but we can’t guarantee it.

Takumi-Tei — Level 2

What happens when you charge an arm and a leg for dining inside a theme park, as is the case with Takumi-Tei? You have a decent number of reservations available, of course!

People flock her thanks to the high quality, but the price point scares enough away that you should have okay luck getting a reservation if you so choose.

San Angel Inn — Level 1

San Angel Inn may not always have same-day availability, but it’s reliably had next-day availability and beyond.

You may be able to press your luck and get away with it here.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya — Level 1

Shiki-Sai has some slight limitations, but we’ve found plenty of next-day and same-week reservations pretty easily.

If you’re in the mood for sushi, this spot may be a safe pick when it comes to availability.

Teppan Edo — Level 1

Often when we look at future dates for reservations, Teppan Edo has something available.

If you’re planning week-of, you may get some nice availability.

La Crêperie de Paris — Level 1

La Crêperie de Paris is one of the safer last-minute reservations you can make.

When browsing, we’ve noticed TONS of reservations.

Nine Dragons Restaurant — Level 1

It’s not the emptiest EPCOT restaurant, but Nine Dragons tends to have plenty of reservations open.

This is another solid pick for last-minute reservations.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

50’s Prime Time Cafe — Level 2

While it’s not for everyone, 50’s Prime Time Cafe very rarely has same-day reservations.

Still, it’s a mixed bag on future reservations, and we have seen some good options for future days.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ — Level 2

A bit more limited, Roundup Rodeo BBQ usually only offers a couple of spots for future days.

This spot has had decent available weeks out, but if you’re looking for something last-minute, you might be out of luck.

Oga’s Cantina — Level 1

Oga’s Cantina was one of the most packed Disney World restaurants at one time, but it looks like the hype has died down a little.

This bar can be good for a couple same-day reservations, but it excellent for future day selections.

The Hollywood Brown Derby — Level 1

This was a bit shocking to us, but we were able to get same-day reservations at The Hollywood Brown Derby.

We still recommend making reservations as far in advance as you can, but we have seen some really great availability for future dates.

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater — Level 1

Sci-Fi Dine-In can be great for same-day reservations.

You’ll also typically find a healthy number of next-day reservations.

Hollywood and Vine Restaurant — Level 1

Hollywood and Vine is another character meal that shocked us.

We’ve found plenty of reservations here in the past, so if you’re looking for any kind of character meal, this is a solid choice.

Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano — Level 1

Mama Melrose’s will typically have PLENTY of availability.

On some days, dinner can be limited. However, for the most part, you shouldn’t have much trouble here.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Yak & Yeti Restaurant — Level 3

Yak & Yeti has tons of limitations, and that can make it difficult to get a reservation.

Some days you’ll be able to find same-day reservations, others you can’t even get next-day. It’s a mixed bag, but we recommend getting reservations early if you plan to dine here, just to be safe.

Tiffins — Level 1

Tiffins has been pretty solid for us, showing plenty of same-day reservations.

We’ve also gotten lucky with next-day reservations, so it’s worth giving the ADR a shot here.

Tusker House Restaurant — Level 1

Same-day availability has popped up tenfold when we’ve tried to dine at Tusker House.

This restaurant is a character meal, but its availability has been wide open in our experiences.

Rainforest Cafe — Level 1

The chain restaurant — Rainforest Cafe — fits the mold of a Level 1 restaurant.

Its lack of Disney uniqueness probably leads it to be less in-demand, and therefore you should only have trouble dining here on the rarest of occasions.
