EPCOT Fans Will FREAK OUT When They See Which Music Icon Just Visited Disney World

A music icon just celebrated the holidays at Disney World, and if you’re a fan of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you need to see who it was.

It looks like a candy cane!

Celebrities have been visiting Disney theme parks since the beginning, with everyone from politicians and athletes to actors and rock stars all making pilgrimages to the company’s parks over the years. Some for fun, others for work, and in rare cases both. Recently, a major music star with a long Disney history took a holiday trip to Disney World, and took part in one of the resort’s oldest traditions.

The legendary Gloria Estefan — best known for ebullient tracks like “1-2-3”, “Turn the Beat Around”, “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” “Conga,” and “Get On Your Feet” — recently documented her visit to Disney World. She even served as a narrator during EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional.

Her Instagram post featured a caption that read, in part, “Merry Christmas Eve everyone!! What a beautiful time to celebrate with family and those you love! The Estefan family had some holiday fun @waltdisneyworld making memories and enjoying time together!” Estefan documented her family’s trip, including taking a Christmas Card-style photo in the Grand Floridian lobby, posing with characters…

In addition, Estefan shared a second video post, further documenting her participation in the Candlelight Processional, captioning the clip, “It’s always magical to be a part of the @waltdisneyworld #candlelightprocessional in #Epcot and even more special that my family got to be here with me!”

Estefan is no stranger to Disney World. She’s participated in numerous Disney parades and specials over the years; one of her songs — “Conga” — is featured on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and she and her husband Emilio (who is pictured in several of the aforementioned Instagram photo) previously owned Bongo’s Cuban Café, the massive pineapple-shaped restaurant which operated at Disney Springs from 1997 through 2019.

  1. I met Gloria Estefan on the slopes in Colorado skiing. She was with her family. I heard that voice and I automatically knew it was her. I was there on a ski trip with a Miami radio station (Y100) that always played her music. When I told her this, she said she would try to pass by to say hi to all of us. About an hour later, Gloria and her husband came by and hung out with all of us. She was so nice and friendly. Years later I was on a movie set as an extra (Music of the Heart) she was on. She came by and was so nice to all the extra’s. I reminded her about the Colorado experience we had with her and she was telling me details about how much fun she had meeting everyone and how funny it was to meet up with so many Floridians in Colorado. She has always been so friendly and nice to everyone she meets. She is still one of the most talented performers that I have ever met. She has always been about her family.
