The Experts Have Spoken: These Are the BEST Genie+ Lightning Lanes for 2024 in Disney World

Are you headed to Disney World in 2024?

Genie+

If you are, you’ve probably already booked your hotel, bought your tickets, and decided on Genie+ or not. If you are planning on getting Genie+ in Disney World, though, you’ll need to know how best to use it. Don’t worry, though, we’re here to tell you which rides you’ll need Genie+ for the most.

So the good news is that if you do purchase Genie+, you’ll get the opportunity to book Lightning Lanes for a LOT of rides. However, we think the following rides should be your priorities. We looked at wait times in each park and these are the ones that almost always have longer lines.

Magic Kingdom

If you’ve ever been to Magic Kingdom, you know that Peter Pan’s Flight consistently has long wait times. The ride loads slowly, which means it can’t process people as fast as a lot of other rides. Even at rope drop, you could be waiting a while. So book that Lightning Lane the minute they open.

However, another ride with notoriously consistent long wait times is Jungle Cruise. You’ll want to make that one a priority, too, especially if you’re visiting during the holidays when the ride becomes Jingle Cruise with a holiday overlay.

After you’ve knocked those out, then you can focus on booking Lightning Lanes on a few other Magic Kingdom rides, like Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Haunted Mansion.

EPCOT

Over in EPCOT, the line for Frozen Ever After is often REALLY long, and you might as well just save yourself all that waiting by booking a Lightning Lane. This is another one that can still be long even at rope drop.

Frozen Ever After

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is also still a highly popular ride, too (which is why the France Pavilion in EPCOT is almost always so crowded). Book a Lightning Lane for that ride and you’ll waltz by those waiting in the long standby line.

After that, you can book a Lightning Lane for Test Track, although you can catch this one with short standby lines if you go at the right times. However, the ride is set to get updated in the future, and if that happens in 2024, that could mean a lot of folks will be wanting to ride it before it closes.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land is still one of the most popular rides in Hollywood Studios, and if you don’t want to spend HOURS waiting outside in the Florida sun in an area with very little shade, you’ll want to book that Lightning Lane to bypass that line. Trust us on this one.

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you might want to consider purchasing the Individual Lightning Lane option for Rise of the Resistance, but you’ll want to book that Genie+ Lightning Lane for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, which also tends to have high wait times. This one is obviously a must for Star Wars fans.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run

Honestly, though, you will probably want to book a Lightning Lane for almost every ride in Hollywood Studios, except for Alien Swirling Saucers.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Although Flight of Passage requires an Individual Lightning Lane purchase to bypass its standby line, you’ll want Genie+ to get past the super long standby lines at Na’vi River Journey. So you might want to make Pandora a priority in Animal Kingdom when it comes to rides.

Na’vi River Journey

Kilimanjaro Safaris should be a priority ride in Animal Kingdom, too, because the lines can get pretty long. You might also find this ride closes occasionally due to animals being…well…animals, so that will create a longer standby line.

After those two rides, book a Lightning Lane for Expedition Everest. Also, with DinoLand, U.S.A. set to be reimagined in the future, there’s a good chance that Dinosaur could be super popular this year, so you’ll want a Lightning Lane for that, too.

So if you’re headed to Disney World and need to know how to prioritize your Lightning Lanes with Genie+, we hope you find this helpful!
