ALERT: Magic Kingdom's Country Bear Jamboree Will CLOSE in One Week

After a while, some Disney World rides need an update. Disney’s old animatronics work HARD every single day — they need a break! Take the Country Bear Jamboree, for example. According to some Disney fans, this show needs a makeover.

Well, that makeover is coming soon! Disney previously shared that a refreshed version of the Country Bear Jamboree is in the works, with some new music and updated characters. The old show is still open — but not for much longer — so let this serve as your reminder that the Country Bear Jamboree is closing SOON.

During the Destination D23 event in 2023, Disney announced that they would be making some changes to the Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom. That means that Country Bear Jamboree will need to temporarily close starting January 27th, 2024.

Disney has not shared an exact reopening date yet, but the new show is expected to open later this summer. In terms of the changes we’re expecting, Disney revealed that the music is meant to represent the sounds of Nashville, and the show will be inspired by the Opry-style shows of Nashville. Here’s a peek at the NEW poster for the updated show.

So far, we know that there will be some new Disney songs performed at the show with a country twist, including “The Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book. The new show will also include reinterpreted Disney songs in different genres of country music, including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly, and more.
