It’s officially springtime, which means we’re headed into Olaf’s FAVORITE season.

Yep, we’re well on the way to summer at Disney World! Like any other vacation destination, Disney World tends to be a bit busier in the summer as schools are released, a lot of people have long weekends away from work, and believe it or not — people actually seek out that hot Florida sun.
When these crowds flock to Disney World, that’s obviously when we’re gonna see those wait times skyrocket. But… just how long can we expect those waits to be? We took a look at some summer wait times from the past and have compiled this guide to summertime wait times in Disney World. Bring your comfy shoes and a bottle of water, because these waits can get a bit long.

Disney World Wait Times in May
Wait times in May remain pretty average throughout the month, with the lowest wait times at the beginning of the month — since most schools are between spring and summer break at this point — and many families aren’t vacationing yet.

Toward the end of the month, we can expect these wait times to pick up a bit. While most rides will stay around 20-30 minute waits, popular rides like Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Test Track, and Slinky Dog remained around 65-80 minutes with Flight of Passage and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance remaining around 100 minutes.
Disney World Wait Times in June
Of course, things only pick up from here! Wait times remain pretty steady throughout the month of June, with many rides averaging around 25-40 minutes throughout the day, with popular rides staying between 60 and 80 minutes.

As for rides like Flight of Passage, Rise of the Resistance, Tower of Terror, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train…. well, those like to stay in the double digits. However, they peaked around 115 minutes, which is better than we’ve seen at some points throughout the year.
Disney World Wait Times in July
In July of 2022, we saw the wait times dwindle a little bit. This could be because of peak temperatures keeping people out of longer lines!

More popular rides like Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage remained at around 90 minutes, while most other rides in the parks averaged around 45 minutes.
Disney World Wait Times in August
In August, many schools are back in session and we see the wait times become similar to the ones in May. The most popular wait times (like for Rise of the Resistance, Tower of Terror, Flight of Passage, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train) peaked at around 90-100 minutes while most others remained around 30-45 minutes.

Of course, every year can differ, so we’ll continue to keep you all updated with wait times throughout the summer season. Stay tuned for more wait times and other Disney World updates!
