Important WARNING Issued About Annual Pass Sales for Disney World

If you’re trying to get an Annual Pass for Disney World online today, be warned.

Annual Passes are on sale again!

The process has had its fair share of complications, from phone lines that wouldn’t connect to system errors and hours-long wait times, but now an important warning has been issued about pass sales moving forward.

Disney previously warned that the quantity of Annual Passes available for the new sales would be limited and that a pass type or certain passes could become unavailable for purchase at any time.

As of around 3:20PM, the Disney website does NOT indicate that any particular pass has sold out, but some of them could become unavailable soon and Disney is warning guests about it.

When we entered the virtual queue for Annual Pass sales this afternoon, we were given a wait time of more than an hour.

But the important part is the warning that has been added at the bottom. In that message, Disney notes that they “anticipate a pass or select passes may become unavailable for purchase later today.

So if you’re still waiting in the virtual queue, just be mentally prepared for the possibility that a pass type or select pass types could sell out TODAY. If you haven’t already joined the virtual queue, you’ll want to join ASAP to give yourself a chance at getting a pass.

Got up at 4:45 am CST, kept refreshing until passes finally went on sale late, at 5:40 am CST, got in the queue after about 2 hours of waiting, system temporarily paused which totally freaked me out because I thought it had completely crashed but came back up shortly thereafter. Total of 3 hours in queue purchased my Incredipass then found out MNSSHP Tickets go on sale soon! All & all not too much frustration & was able to get my pass! Yay me! Now I will have to try to purchase my MNSSHP tickets in 1 week & hope that goes smoothly! Love your website & all of the valuable information y’all work so hard at giving to us!

  2. I immediately got into the virtual queue at 6:45 a.m., was able to get to the annual pass webpage at around 8 a.m., but encountered a glitch and my cart was mysteriously emptied. Then I was rerouted to the virtual queue AGAIN, and began the process over at 9:20 a.m.
    At 4:59 p.m. it was “my turn” to get on the webpage for annual pass purchase. Prior to the ability to purchase passes online, though, at 4:30p.m., guest services CastMember Tabatha helped me get my desired passes via phone. Getting a call back through the phone queue seemed to work much more efficiently than the online queue! Shout out to Tabatha for assisting me so well! I was just glad passes had not sold out before I was able to make a purchase, since I quite literally was tied up the entire day waiting to even be ABLE to buy a pass. Disney is definitely making us work for it! ?
