As one construction project is coming to a close in Magic Kingdom, another one has a long way to go.
TRON Lightcycle / Run is getting ready to open in early April to the public, but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, formerly Splash Mountain, isn’t set to open until 2024. Regardless, we’re keeping an eye on all the latest construction news, so come check out the latest with us!
Scaffolding is up EVERYWHERE and rises high over the outside wall blocking the lower half of the ride from view.
From the front, the big stand-by entrance is still up, however the small light blue Splash Mountain sign that rested above has been removed.
Here’s a closer look at the sign that was recently removed:
We noticed that some of the areas behind the wall are now covered with a tight brown scrim as well.
But the biggest update we’ve seen? There were TONS of workers hard at work all over the site! It was definitely a live construction site when we passed by.
Tarps are covering nearly every entrance to the ride now, so it’s currently impossible to see what’s happening inside the ride.
So the next time you visit the park, spend a few minutes by the construction site and see what you can see and hear! If you ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, there are black stopping you from seeing inside, but you still may be able to pick up some clues every now and then. As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!
