CONFIRMED: This Will Be the Hardest Lightning Lane Multi Pass To Get in 2026 at Disneyland

It’s wild to think that 2025 is almost over. 2026 is just around the corner, and if you’re hoping to visit Disneyland Resort in the coming year, you’ll probably need to start planning soon.

If you want to skip the line on many of the park attractions, you might want to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This can save you time in the parks by not having to wait as long in lines. But if you do purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, be aware that some rides will be harder to get than others!

Indiana Jones Adventure

Indiana Jones Adventure is one of the most popular rides at Disneyland Resort. While Lighting Lanes don’t sell out as quickly in Disneyland like they do in Disney World, getting a Lightning Lane for Indiana Jones Adventure is a bit trickier than for the other rides in the park.

If you check the Disneyland app throughout the day, you’ll notice that available Lighting Lane times for Indiana Jones are far later than for most of the other rides. The tricky part about getting a Lighting Lane for Indiana Jones is getting one for a specific time that you’re hoping for. For example, when we looked at the app around 12:50 PM, most of the Lighting Lanes available were for 1 PM, but the earliest available for Indiana Jones was 7:15 PM!

If you’re hoping to get an earlier Lightning Lane return time for this ride, you’ll want to grab it right away in the morning! If you wait too long, you could end up with a much later time than you wanted or risk the chance of them selling out (which does happen later in the day).

Seasonal Rides

Several times throughout the year Disneyland and Disney California Adventure offer rides with themed overlays. These seasonal rides can be VERY tricky to get Lightning Lanes for, as they are in high demand. Here is the list of season rides with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and a high demand.

Hyperspace Mountain

Space Mountain gets a Star Wars overlay in May to celebrate ‘May the Fourth.’ It typically lasts all month long, and it’s loads of fun!

If we had it our way, Space Mountain would ALWAYS be Hyperspace Mountain. This is a very exciting update to the original ride that’s not around for very long each year. If you want to get a Lighting Lane for this ride, you’ll want to snag it early on in the day.

Haunted Mansion at Halloween and Christmas Time

Haunted Mansion Holiday is decorated with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme usually from September until after the holiday season. This is a fan-favorite overlay, so getting a Lighting Lane for it could be harder than normal.

Celebrate with the Pumpkin King as he ushers in Halloween and Christmas!

Soarin’ Over California

Soarin’ Around the World reverts to its original version Soarin’ Over California during the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival. During this time, the video for the ride is changed back to the beloved tour of California.

This is a nostalgic ride change, which makes it an in-demand Lightning Lane.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark

When ghosts are out and everything gets spooky, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout goes to the monsters! This Halloween overlay is truly frightful, and everyone loves it.

Don’t miss out on grabbing a Lightning Lane early in the morning!

“it’s a small world” also has a holiday overlay for Christmas time and uses the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system. However, this ride is not usually in high demand even with it’s cute festive theme.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass

Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disneyland varies slightly from Multi Pass in Disney World. So if you’re a Disney World expert, be ready for some differences. For example, Multi Passes in Disneyland CANNOT be reserved in advance. You’ll pick your first attraction when you enter the park, and then select others throughout the day.

Disneyland Resort Lightning Lane Multi Pass also comes includes Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day your purchased the service. This includes ride photos and those done by Disney’s professional photographers. You can even use PhotoPass Lenses!

You may only select one Multi Pass at a time, including with your first selection. You can then select a new one after you’ve redeemed the one you currently hold OR after 2 hours have passed since making that selection.

Lightning Lanes may be a great add-on to your park ticket. It’s something you have to decide for you and your group. If you do choose to purchase Multi Pass, be ready to book these rides as soon as you enter the park to guarantee you get a time you want.
