Becoming a Jedi just got a little more expensive.
Price increases have hit a lot of things in Disney World recently, from food to photo ops and souvenir cups. In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge droid building at Droid Depot and lightsaber building at Savi’s Workshop also got price increases. But now another Star Wars item is MORE expensive.
As we went through Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities (one of the shops in Galaxy’s Edge), we noticed that a popular collectible has gotten a little more pricey. Legacy Lightsabers — which are collectible lightsaber hilts already built and themed to popular Star Wars characters — have been hit with a price increase.
For example, the Darksaber (labeled the Dark Lightsaber) is now $219.99.
The Cal Kestis Lightsaber was priced at $159.99 but is now $169.99.
We won’t go through every single increase here, but here’s a summary of some of the other increases we spotted:
- Darth Vader Lightsaber — Was $149.99, increased to $159.99
- Shadow Maul Lightsaber — Was $159.99, increased to $169.99
- Darth Maul Lightsaber — Was $159.99, increased to $169.99
- Ahsoka Tano Lightsabers — Were $229.99, increased to $249.99
- Rey Skywalker Lightsaber — Was $149.99, increased to $159.99
- Luke Skywalker Lightsaber — Was $159.99, increased to $169.99
- Darth Tyranus Lightsaber — Was $149.99, increased to $159.99
That’s an overview of some of the changes. Overall, it looks like most lightsabers saw about a $10 increase, though some may have increased by a bit more.
