Refillable Mugs Got a PRICE INCREASE at Disney World

It might surprise you to learn that there are actually ways you can save money at Disney World.

Or, maybe you already knew that because you keep up with all the latest news we bring you about Disney deals — either way, we can all probably agree that saving money around the parks and resorts is a GREAT thing. One of our best tips for Disney World Resort hotel guests is to pick up a refillable mug — but now it looks like those mugs are the latest to be hit with a price increase!

Recently, Disney raised the price of just about everything in the parks from tickets to special experiences and oh yeah — eats and drinks. And now, it looks like the latest victims of price increases are Disney World Resort Refillable Mugs!

In case you’re not familiar, refillable mugs are able to be purchased at Disney Resort hotels (in the past they were free with the Disney Dining Plan, which is currently suspended) and they include free refills on drinks like fountain soda, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

They work using RFID technology, and allow you to refill your mug every two minutes, and can be refilled only at Disney-owned and -operated Resorts at Walt Disney World. That means you can refill your mug at your Resort or at any of Disney World’s other hotels, too.

But, if you’re thinking about purchasing a refillable mug on your next Disney World trip — it’s going to cost you a bit more. Previously, mugs could be picked up for $19.99, but now it looks like each mug will cost you $21.99 instead.

Although this $2 increase might not sound like much, if you’re buying refillable mugs for multiple people it can add up. Overall, though, if you’re staying in a Disney World Resort hotel and are typically a big coffee/tea/soda drinker, the refillable mug might still be a good value for you!
