Yesterday it was announced that Genie+ in Disney World and Disneyland would be introducing flexible pricing.

What this means is that the price of Genie+ can vary day by day in the parks, depending on how busy it is or what day of the week. And shortly after this change was announced, we’re starting to see it in action.
As of today, Wednesday, October 12th, Genie+ is currently priced at $20 for the day. This is a $5 increase from Genie+’s original pricing, which was $15 no matter the date.

Disney revealed that Genie+ will be working similar to the way that Disney prices theme park tickets — prices will be higher during busier times of year, and lower during less crowded seasons. For the month of October, Disney shared that the price will remain at $15 for less busy days, jumping at a max of $22 for more busy days. Other days, like today, will fall somewhere in between those numbers.

Not only will the pricing vary throughout October, but it is subject to change again once the month is done. You’ll also want to keep in mind that Genie+ must be purchased day-of in Disney World, so you’ll need to get it through the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit, starting at midnight.

In the mean time, we will continue to keep up with the latest pricing for Genie+, and let you know of any further updates as we head into the busy holiday season.

In Epcot today from 8, Frozen disappeared for LL booking from 11am and literally has just popped on again now for the first time for riding at 7.45.
Does Disney really think people are spending 12 hours in the park waiting for their rides to become available. The only LL attractions we got on was Living and Seas (we managed to get on Soaring at opening) between 8 and 1.
How is this even a fair deal when you pay $20?
