It’s time to get prepared for what October will look like over at Disney World!
Of course, the resort will continue celebrating Halloween time, as well as Disney World’s 50th Anniversary and EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary. But what closures can you expect to see during the month? Let’s find out by taking a look at everything that’s CLOSED at Disney World in October.
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World Railroad
For yet another month, we’re the bearer of bad news. The Walt Disney World Railroad will remain on the list of closures for October.
A return date has yet to be identified; however, at the 2022 D23 Expo, it was announced that the attraction, TRON: Lightcycle Run, would open to guests by Spring 2023. Since construction on the attraction is what’s blocking the railroad from reopening, we’re hoping we can expect to see the trains return in 2023 as well.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
This location will remain closed in October.
At this location, guests were able to watch a short re-telling of Beauty and the Beast with audience volunteers. We hope to see it return soon!
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Pete’s Silly Sideshow was recently announced to be opening shortly, but it will remain closed in October.
We’re anxiously waiting to meet our favorite circus performers (Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy) again!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Fantasmic!
Ugh. Yes, Fantasmic! is set to be closed for yet another month.
Disney recently revealed that the popular show would return in 2022, but no showtimes are listed for October. Of course, that could change with a last-minute reopening announcement from Disney!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Yet again, this show remains on the list of closures. And, we’re still doubting if it will ever make a return.
Of course, we’re speculating, but we do find it odd that we’re met with an error message when we go to the show’s page on Disney’s website!
Since we can’t access this page, we have no way of knowing for sure if the show will return this month. But…it’s safe to assume it won’t.

EPCOT
The American Adventure
The American Adventure is closed in October.
The offering closed in September, and Disney has yet to announce a return date. We’ll let you know when we get more information on its reopening.
Canada Far & Wide in Circlevision 360
This location remains closed in October, but that’s only because it’s being used for the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!
This location houses the Appleseed Orchard Booth. We expect to see the film attraction return to normal once the festival ends on November 19th.
Disney World Resort Hotels
Narcoossee’s — Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
This fine dining location is a popular one among guests. But, unfortunately, it will remain closed for another month.
Narcoossee’s is under refurbishments, and Disney previously revealed it will reopen sometime in 2023. We’ll let you know when an exact return date is identified.
Kona Cafe — Disney’s Polynesian Resort
This location is under refurbishment as well, and will remain closed in October.
But it’s not all bad news! You can still continue to place to-go orders. You’ll pick your food up right next to Kona Island Coffee Bar.
The location is expected to return in the fall of 2022 with an “enhanced table-service experience.”
When Could Kona Cafe Reopen?
Disney’s Water Parks
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
This water park will remain closed in October.
Of course, you could always visit Typhoon Lagoon instead!
