We’ve got exciting news coming out of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
And no, it’s not about the DVC Villas construction or the new walkway to and from Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa (although those are both exciting too). Kona Cafe has a reopening date!
Kona Cafe is a popular table service restaurant inside the Polynesian Village Resort that closed back in August for refurbishment. Disney’s website said it would reopen this fall with “an enhanced table-service experience,” and now, the hours have been updated on the website for a possible reopening.
The restaurant is listed as closed through the end of October, but starting on November 1st, the calendar says that it’s open from 7:30AM-10PM. Disney hasn’t made any official announcements about the opening date, but we’ll be sure to stop by on November 1st and check it out. At this time, reservations are not yet available.
Disney World has had a lot of reopenings in the past few months with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Harmony Barber Shop, and more character experiences coming back to restaurants like The Crystal Palace. Things are constantly changing in Disney, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest news.
And if you’re looking for other places that are new and fresh to dine, we’re expecting an opening for Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios before the end of this year. The restaurant is currently under construction and Disney hasn’t revealed a specific opening date yet, but we’re on the lookout.
