If you’re still sad about Spirits of Aloha at the Polynesian Village Resort going away, you’re not alone.

We’ve been keeping up with the demolition of the show area and the construction of the new DVC rooms that are taking its place. We last updated on the progress in July, and things have certainly changed since then!
In July, the area was mostly cleared for the new construction, with the leftover debris put in piles to sort and discard. The only building left was a small hut.

However, now the ENTIRE area has been cleared and looks ready for new buildings.

Dirt has also begun to be moved around to prepare for these new buildings, and construction vehicles have been seen on the site!

And that’s about all the updates we have for now. Construction is coming along on other Disney World attractions as well, like Journey of Water, Inspired By Moana, Disney’s Roundup Rodeo Barbeque Restaurant, and the TRON coaster. Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney construction news!

Question: With all that construction are we still able to walk the pathway to the Grand Floridian? Thank-you.
