A NEW Scarlet Witch Comic Book Series Is Coming Soon!

Seriously, there are so many movies and shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we just found out about even more coming soon. But, where did all of this start? Yep, it started with comic books. If you’re a fan of the OG medium for seeing your favorite Marvel heroes, we’ve got some good news for you.

Scarlet Witch is returning in a brand-new ongoing solo comic book series! The series will be written by Steve Orlando and drawn by artist Sara Pichelli. The series will open the door to new adventures, mysteries, and quests involving Wanda Maximoff.

And, the first cover by Russell Dauterman (who also designed Wanda’s new costume) has been revealed!

Orlando is known for other comic book series like MARAUDERS (2022) and DARKHOLD (2021), while Pichelli is known for her work on things like ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN (2009).

So, where is Scarlet Witch right now in the comic book world? Well, she earned redemption in X-MEN: TRIAL OF MAGNETO (2021) and was reborn as a hero. Wanda can use her powers in a new way and embraces a new calling to help those in need. Marvel says that this series will allow fans to “experience one the most powerful magic-wielders on the planet at her very best in the series Scarlet Witch fans have been asking for!”

They go on to say that there’s a door that appears only to those in need and on the other side of it is a mysterious witchcraft shop. There they will meet the Scarlet Witch. Wanda is familiar with hitting rock bottom, and now that she’s at peace, she will use her power to help others at their lowest.

But, when a woman falls through Wanda’s door with “a terrifying story of a town gone mad,” the Scarlet Witch will have to use her wits and chaos magic to deal with the threat!

“Wanda Maximoff has finally broken free of the shadows she’s wrestled with for years. And now? Sara Pichelli, Russell Dauterman, and I are unveiling the next chapter of her powerful, improbable, magical life. When you have nowhere else to turn…you turn to the Scarlet Witch. And God help anyone who gets in her way,” said Orlando.
