Marvel Casts MAJOR MCU Players For ‘Thunderbolts’ Movie

There has been a LOT of Marvel news coming out of D23 Expo!

We’ve learned about a Marvel Halloween special, we got confirmation about the Fantastic Four director, and we got a trailer for the Disney+ series Secret Invasion. But wait, there’s more! Because Marvel also announced the cast for its upcoming Thunderbolts movie!

Here’s a little background information about the Thunderbolts in Marvel Comics — they’re a team of antiheroes, mostly consisting of former supervillains. Members have included Baron Zemo, Hawkeye, Green Goblin, Black Widow, Venom, and more.

Now, the Thunderbolts team is headed to the MCU and will feature a NEW team, some of Marvel’s newest heavy hitters. At the D23 Expo, we saw that the Thunderbolts movie will feature Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova…

…Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier)…

…David Harbour as Red Guardian…

…Julia Louis-Dreyfus as La Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine…

…Wyatt Russell as John Walker (U.S. Agent)…

…Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster…

…and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost.

Expect to see Thunderbolts in theaters in 2024. That’s a long wait, so if you need something else to entertain you before that, don’t forget that Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters THIS YEAR in November!
