January 1st, 2022, will be the last day for guests to visit Blizzard Beach before it closes for refurbishment for an unknown amount of time. As of January 2nd, Blizzard Beach will be closed, and there is currently no reopening date listed on Disney World’s calendar.
Blizzard Beach is the larger Disney World waterpark, and it’s themed after a ski resort. With 17 different water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, and children’s play areas, there’s plenty to do there, but you’ll have to wait until after the refurbishment is finished.
If waterparks are your thing, don’t worry! Disney World’s other waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon, will finally reopen on January 2nd, 2022! While you might not be able to visit Blizzard Beach, you can still take a swim in one of the many water attractions at Typhoon Lagoon.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for a reopening date for Blizzard Beach but in the meantime, you will soon be able to visit Typhoon Lagoon for Disney waterpark fun! Keep reading AllEars for more Disney World planning news and updates!
